Suppose i got: 7 wrong in math, 9 wrong in writing, 11 wrong in reading, 11 wrong in science… What would be my composite score? Is it possible for me to even touch 30?

@hrock500 I think you would get 29 and 30 is only 2% better than 29

If I get 2 wrong English, 4 wrong math, 9 wrong reading, and 5 wrong science, what would my score be? Is 33 possible with a generous curve?

@engineering2015 I guess ur score would be

35 english
34 math
28 reading ( I was gonna say 29 but lets assume the lower score)
30 science

Composite 32 ( rounded from 31.75)

If the score IS generous, I still think u would have a 32 because only ur reading nd science would improve by a mark and ur average would be a 32.25, which is a 32. However, if u go up 3 marks overall from my estimates, u mite get a 33.

Is a 32.5 rounded up or down? I dont know hows its rounded but if its rounded down then engineering2015, u probably wont get 33 :(

The Act rounds up.

What’s 10w English, 1w math, 7w reading, 4w science

@master1006 thanks for the input. I was trying to calculate my score on the low and high ends and I think the lowest I would get is 29 and highest 33 but that’s a long shot. I got 31.25 last time which I was really disappointed about because I know I can get at least a 32 but with the new format I think I got 30/31 again which blows.

@nhljohn871 I’d say 29 E, 36 M, 30 R, 33 S for 32 composite.

has anyone ever gotten their scores back early on that link? I can wait but just wondering.

Suppose i missed 6 in english, 7 in math, 6 in reading, and 1 in science. What scores do you think i would get?

@austin23

32 english
31 math
32 reading
34 science ( could be 35 but letslets assume the lower just in case)

32 Conposite

Do you think one more right in math would be a 32?

@austin23 It’s possible for it to be a 32 since it was a tougher math section, but it’s always hard to say for sure

The english question, removing the phrase “it looked prehistoric” was the answer that it closely resembled the ancient culture or that it was outmoded?

I would say yes, austin its rlly likely that 6 wrong is a 32 perhaps even 7 wrong

Yes?

And lol it only takes me an jour to forget most of the ACT, let alone 1 out of 75 english questions ;)

What did you guys get for the one that was “The sun _____ the landscape” and you had to chose the one that emphasized the ruggedness, was it smothered or shattered? Because shattered implies that the landscape was once smooth or even flat, but it is now rugged, but smothered could mean that the landscape has always been rugged and the sun just has covered it. I think i put smothered, but it’s really confusing depending on how you look at it.

I put shattered. Shattered means to break into many pieces whereas smothered simply means to cover

@austin23 I think I also put the prehistoric answer, since the pottery-maker had mimicked so well the prehistoric pottery

So you said that the phrase “it looked prehistoric” meant that the artist’s work closely resembled the ancient culture? I said that it meant that the work was outmoded. My reasoning is that this ancient culture (a.d. 1000 - a.d. 1300) is not prehistoric; it was just a couple hundred years old

I put outmoded for the artwork… and yea ^ i felt the same way too …but we will see. I put smothered the landscape for the sun. since the sun was rising up…it smothered the place?idk how to explain lol
