any takers?

positive - the text with the "laudatio" and the philosopher (?) sucked hard

oh, the passage about the best teacher in the world or something right?

i didn't know that the present subjunctive of nolo is nolim, i put down nolam :(

I thought the Pompey/Cicero one was worse.
But all in all, it was fine.
I answered them all. I hope I didn't make any stupid mistakes.

maributt: If that's the biggest thing you're worried about, you'll probably be fine. :)

oh an i never learned that scansion stuff in latin so i skipped that one. it's the only one though.

yeah, the pompey one was definitely the hardest. did you infer that cicero had asked pompey for help?

Without mentioning specifics, I personally thought that the first passage was the hardest. I can't really judge my performance though. What's the fastest way to find out our scores?

@ maributt: No, I said something about flattering....maybe....? Sorry, I don't remember the question, really.

@ Potential: The fastest way to find out scores is to check collegeboard.com on June 21st. They'll send you an official score report some time after they post them online.

nolo? nolim? nolam? i can't remember that one

Thanks, sunshine.
And I don't recall that question either.

it was in the section 1.

oh no you put that pompey was flattering cicero!!! uh-oh, what if i got it wrong.

wasn't it perfect subjunctive of nolo?

p.s. i had flattering as well

No, I'm pretty sure it was present subj.

I think it was flattering b/c in that sentence he was saying how C. had so much enthusiasm for helping the country and stuff. But I could be wrong too, of course. It was between those two for me though.

are you sure? because i thought it was asking for perfect subj..

and i said flattering too.

i'm just glad it was pompey writing to cicero, not the other way around. can you imagine? hah

the first passage was bru-tal.

i'm 90% that it was perfect.

what did you put down for the messenger-sentence-completion? quod or qui?

quod ... wasn't sure about that one though.

OK, then maybe you guys are right and I just didn't read it carefully enough.
I wasn't sure about the above question either.

lol i don't remember what i put down. i think (A) whatever that was :)

I think it was qui and not quod.

The first two passages were harder than I expected. (They were harder than the ones in the actual test published by collegeboard.

For passage 1... was
quam which?
cum since?
quem what?

I don't think I put flattery...

jenkster: the first quam was "than," but I don't remember the others.

I'm thinking that my score could really be anywhere between 650 and 800, but probably more like 650-750.

I'm definitely going to have to retake this. But I don't think it was TERRIBLE. The teacher passage wasn't too bad, but the Pompey/Cicero passage was pretty hard. I had to skip all those and go back to them.

I inferred that Cicero had asked Pompey for help, but I really am not sure.
