June 2006 - Physics

It was pretty tough, and the fact that I just had physics honors didn't help either. I think I had around 8 that I was unsure about.

aznsushi, mgd is not right.

Yea, just radiation. Was one of the answers diffraction? Or was it phase shift? I couldn't narrow it down enough. It was the one with the paper over the glass

OHHH haha you're right dude12, didn't realize mg was the normal force and not the right force.. phewww. i didn't put that on the test but someone said it was mgd in a previuos post and it seemed to make sense. yay that means i got the question right!

i said phase shift

The Bohr qn, does it emit light? Which one wasn't the fractual one? The insect right?

ommited the bohr question? i put the insect cause it was one onyl one that was not like the othere, however stupid it seems

What was the question?

3 choices about electron and which was bohr wrong about

Oh, it was it emits visible light when it jumps to a higher energy level. That happens when it goes to a lower energy level. For the astroid question, was the answet the astroid?

Galileo definitely did not discover that the universe was expanding. Universe expansion related to red shift, but Galileo was more of the mechanics stuff.

light is NOT emitted; it said from lower to higher, so no light is emitted.

Oh ya, anybody remember the one with the single slit? (Something like that)

is the insect one right? I ommitted it because.. idk it was just too weird.

I know, and the question asked which one isn't true.

For the single slit, I said A) Increase the wavelength only. Duuno if its right though.

what did you guys think of the test? do you think the curve will be similar to sparknotes or PR (which is like the most lenient i think, raw score of 60 is 800) or whatever other curve there is?

There was like another answer too, I think. Something like decrease size of slit? Not sure what I put.

Probably 63 raw of 75 like from the Real Subjects book.
Also, I thought that the test was slightly harder than the one in the Real Subjects book.

i heard a 45 avgs a 700 but that was just word of mouth

decreasing size of slit works too.
