AH can enzymes still work when the cell is dead??
what was that question again? and what was the answer?

Does anybody remember all of the questions to the Ph / blood calcium graph part? I want to go over them in order to see if i can remember what i put for each.

Also Molecular people–
Does anybody remember the questions and answers to the TAT protein synthesis graph section?

also guys–i just looked it up and i’m pretty sure that the relationship between a cow and an egret is mutuallism…not commensalism. so i think that the asnwers were three mutualisms and one altruism

In regards to the huntingtons once more:
1/2 chance of having a 100% rate
1/2 chance of a 50% rate
50/2 + 100/2 = 25 + 50 = 75% chance the kid has it.

For the first PTH/calcuim question, I put B…decreases. The second or third ones…hmm…I forget…I might have one blank…

ecology : the terrarium. do oxygen levels fluctuate - max during day, min during night?

I think I want to retake.
You can do that, right?

Ok for that one, Ichiruki, I just realized I filled in 2 bubbles cause I forgot to erase the other one!!!

“Originally adapted to a commensal relationship with large browsing animals, it was easily able to switch to domesticated cattle and horses”

egret and cow is commensalism

Huntingtons’:

father: Hh (cuz it’s a dominant trait)
mother: hh
Punnett square: kid has a 50% chance

i’m 100% sure

^
Just because its dominant doesn’t mean he can’t be homozygous dominant. The question never specified the genotype.
Thus, HHxhh and Hhxhh are both feasible, giving 75%.

i thought someone with HH would die at birth or something
hmmm…i didn’t even think of that!

PTH flame war…
ugh, can anybody please explain it??? >:0

I personally agree with Peachsnapple. 50% is correct, I think. I don’t think you can just “average” the two (50% and 100%)…

Was nitrification the process that makes nitrogen for plants to use? I think it was choice A…not sure.

nitrogen fixing i think
i thought it was both
but nitrification is from N2 to ammonia

I am posting so much…sorry. But I felt like the graph was “reversed” for the PTH thing…

Hmmm…did anyone say nitrification?

i did but erased it
but i wiki-ed it lol and i think its nitrogen fixing

Rrrrrrrrrrgh.

I think I got like 10 wrong…

I disagree with the idea that the Huntington’s question could be 75% I have never seen a genetics question asked anywhere that expected you to average the probabilities of possible genotypes before… I think it just expected you to assume the person was heterozygous because I don’t think anyone really gets Huntington’s homozygous so I said 50% not a good question but I think that’s what they were looking for.
PTH I got fluctuating calcium level for the answer to one of the questions about removing the parathryoids anyone else?
