Let's start the discussion

and remember, no specific questions!

What do you guys think ???

I left 4 blank. What score do you guys think I will get suppose that I get around 16 wrong ??

i just got home…i thought it was pretty easy…the common questions were all fine but the M was harder than usual

Ok. I need a decisive answer. I have looked all around this site and people are saying different things. Does E or M have a better curve?!? I think that E does in the sense that you can get more wrong and still get an 800, but I’m not sure at all. I was going to do M, but then decided on E because…I don’t know why. But I hope it’s OK. I just want to know which one is “easier,” but in terms of curves and everything else.

Thanks!!

M has the better curve i’m almost sure
cuz on CB to get a 780 it’s like 96% for M but 98% for E or something like that

M is usually harder so the curve should be better…but honestly if you just pick your stronger topic, you’ll be fine

anyone else feel that the practice tests were way more specific than the real thing?

I feel so insecure about this test. I left 4 blank, to get a 740 at least, how many wrong am I allowed ??

yesssss
i thought even the easier sparknotes tests were way more specific than the actual thing

I studied for M but took E. Oh boy. Great.

How much do you think that will affect me? And in the PR book is says that you need a much lower score for an 800 on E than on M…so…where are you getting your info?

http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/SubjTestPercentileRanks.pdf

the percentiles to get a score on E is higher
you have to be like in the 99th percentile to get an 800 but only 98 percential range for M

i dunno if i’m right i didn’t really take that into account when picking a section : /

from what ive heard M is harder and therefore has the better curve

So is it the percentile ranks that matter, or your actual score (for example, like a 750 or something)? And when do you find out our scores?

the actual score matters
but achieving a higher score on M is supposedly “easier” cuz the percentile rank is lower

@ carmax: that’s what i heard too

we find out scores in like 3 weeks

I am sorry I am so clueless…haha
So we can check online at like, the beginning of July?!

Do you guys know how many wrongs are allowed to get a 740 with 4 blanks ??

nns91…did you take M or E?

M was harder than usual
although everyone else said that E this time was very, very easy
which would mean much less leeway for an 800

I feel pretty confident about my test. There was a stretch of about 5 consecutive quiestions in the 20-30 range that I felt insecure about, but the rest were very easy. The last lab question about calcium was really vague, too.

How much do these scores actually count for colleges anyways? If you have VERY GOOD grades bet “so-so” scores, how does that play out?

i felt the EXACT same way as Keasbey Nights
