I signed up for SAT Bio test and waiting for the prep books to come so that I could start studying.. in my freshman year I took a normal Biology course so I've decided to take bio subject test while the material is fresh in my mind. Some people say that it's stupid to take a subject test so early, but do you really think that it would be better to take it as a senior? by that time i would definitely forget everything...

So, my main question is that whether it's better to take E or M? I've read some of the threads and they mostly said that I should take the one I'm more comfortable with... but which do you think is easier for me?

Take it when the material is fresh in your mind

E or M is all dependent on you. Most, not all, of the kids in my Bio class went with E because that is what the teacher taught more of in class, so they were more comfortable. On test day I thought I would do E but after doing about 10 questions, went to M because I thought the other one was too hard >_<

Its all up to you, whichever you think will be easier/whichever you know better

Wait can you switch the E/M section during the test? I’m taking the test in November so perhaps i still have a plenty of time to study both sections thoroughly.

it depends on what kind of curriculum your school has. We barely touched on ecology so I figured taking M would be the smarter choice. I took it during finals week when I had honors Bio thinking finals review would be adequate practice. The test asked about complex concepts I have never seen in my life . Afterwards when I looked at an E practice test I saw that it is mostly common sense. In my opinion E is easier

I would say M has a better curve because it involves more material that needs to be taught. YOu could probably do really, really well on the E section by using a review book (I recommend Cliff’s) and some common sense.
