<p>^comforting is a narrowed-down version of peaceful, basically, and fits the overall meaning of the paragraph better. Why else would the author mention the importance of watching his dad before he goes to sleep? True, this is peaceful, but to be more SPECIFIC, it’s comforting.</p>
<p>I dont think the author mentioned this.As far as I remember,the author depicted his father drawing in the morning ,and watching him drawing in the garden is as relaxing as a good night prayer is .In my opinion,the author watches his father after he wakes up,not before he goes to bed .
Another thing ,comforting somehow sounds too obvious …</p>

I remember for the May test, CB announced that scores would be available at 8AM, but this time it just says “starting from June 25” lol</p>
