June 2010: Biology

no that is the same question, but one of the choices was like “the climate is different at higher elevations,” which is false. I think the answer was like both I and II.

the answers to those qusetions were 1. the gray soil would be at a higher elevation and 2. differences in soil and water or wutever i think choice D. I and II

@fresh101, r u using the CB guide that is like up-to-date? and…do u think that the curve will be lenient? was the MAY lenient?

^agreed, the question asked for the posted picture, which had no differences in elevation and pine trees

well i was doing M but i got to the limewater question and freaked out n quickly changed to E.
i didnt erase my markings on M
but as long as i changed my test code thing, am i good to go?

yea u shud deff be good to go biodudeyay

@SATBIO2

The answer was all three [1,2,3] but the gray soil is higher in elevation is correct

can anyone give confirmed list of answers? plz?

how is it all 3? It seemed to me that climate doesn’t have anything to do with the growth of pines vs shrubs, according to the picture.

how was the answer all three of the picture above showed no different growth patterns?

climate variation, which is attributable to different elevations, definitely has an effect on development.
And what do you mean first mountain and second mountain? There was only one mountain shown.lol
The problem said that the brustlepines or w.e. were lower than sagebrushes. So, they had a lower elevation; thus, they had a different climate, which in turn affected the development of both.

yea it wasn’t three almostsk8r…it said based on the diagram. and since they had growth at all levels it couldn’t be climate

Did it say to base the question off the picture?

@fresh101, do u remember what you got for hte plant diagram? was the first choice A?

There are two mountains, and I think that’s where the confusion over this question is.

The first mountain was pictured and showed pines and shrubs growing on various altitudes but staying on mainly one particular kind of soil. The question then went on to say that on a different mountain in the same region, pines were lower than sagebrushes.

^agreed, the question asked for the posted picture, which had no differences in elevation and pine trees

The question DID ask for the posted picture but that doesn’t mean the information given in the first question can be negligible.

does anyone have the compiled answers??

wait so @fresh101, what was the answer to the brustlepine question?

almostsk8tr

it isnt all 3, if u read the previous posts we all confirmed that it is only 1 and 2

but staying on mainly one particular kind of soil

nope. They were growing on different kinds of soil in the picture. I clearly remember that.
