June 2010 Critical Reading

Can we get a list of all the questions and there answers as people remember them? i don’t remember the questions so I don’t remember the answers.

Does anyone remember any other answer choices to the following questions?

Matured, Fulfilling
Inability to empathize with her father
Wanted to increase her affection towards her relatives
Savvy about nature of zoos

@Crazybandit

I had it was hard to resolve with experiments. I’m sure that is what I put. I am hoping that that was correct. Anyone else want to confirm?

^ I think that was the answer.

I’m really concerned over what I put for the “matured, fulfilling” SC
I kind of remember there being another very similar answer choice in the question…
The question went something like this “native american tribes first something art…and showed theytheir promise”…

Does anyone remember the other answer choice which was very similar?

@ Jollybjolly

there was one option, developed … withholding

can anyone tell me other options for "“savvy of the nature of the wild” question?

ah, i may have chose “developed … withholding”…

does anyone know why matured, fulfilling makes more sense???

Does anyone remember what the other choices were for the question with “apoplectic”?

Does anyone remember what choice A was for the 10000 hours question?

Tenacious was another choice, in addition to apoplectic.

^ Do you remember the questioN?

Does anyone remember other options for “savvy about the nature…” or the question for that answer?

Also, the for “painful to stay” question, can anyone explain why the answer is becuase of the isolation???

I think that the exact wording of the question was “painful” on the line __ indicates which of the following?

and the reffered line said “It would not have been so painful to visit (not stay)”

How can the answer be “becuase of isolation” when the question did not ask Why it was painful to visit??

@ jollybjolly

developed fits well, but withhold does not… I think …

the sentence was like,

when the works of poets came out, the writers _ (matured/ developed) in writing and printings, __(fulfilling/ withholding) the promises they showed in their ealier works.

withhodling the promises does not fit as well as fulfilling the promises!

I remember the “apoplectic” question very clearly. It was about a man (who spoke about public issues or something like that) who was very angry; his friend never saw him that angry. “Apoplectic” means “furious.” The other answer choices included “sanctimonious,” and “garrulous.”

Huh? The girl suggested that they move to a place with more movies and activities, because she felt isolated. I believe that was all there was to it.

answer from list: 10,000 Hours question (second to last): “even if one has a talent, one needs to practice for years to become an expert”

my question: is the above answer the same as, “you must practice 10000 hours even if one has innate talent” which was letter C or D I think?

answer from list: valuable for readers make connections w/ past readings

my question: is this the answer about “people read things in infinite ways” or was that a different answer choice? -_- (b/c i don’t remember the "making connections w/ past readings)

thanks.

@sporty

I think both of them are different answers - the second one definitely is wrong. But I don’t recall “10,000” being in the answer for the first one, so that is probably wrong as well.

what would be the approx score for 10 wrong and 1 skip?

Anyone wanna tell me what the question and answer choices were for the sentence completion ‘Proscribed’ answer was?

Were “could not empathize with her father” an. " reconcile" two correct choices?

^ Only “could not empathize with her father” is correct.

Does anyone remember the sentence with apoplectic?
