June 2010: Math II

@ccesssu

i skipped that one. i remember seeing a practice one but it was transformed over the y-axis and it made a cone, so i didn’t know if it would be the same if translated over the x-axis

Damn it, its hard to detect sarcasm over the internet xD

Oh good. I think it was 47. 46. was the number pattern with n one (is embargo lifted!?!)As long as it was 46-50 I’m safee. PHewwwww. I thoguht it was like 42, which would mean that I forgot to leave a space when I omitted it.

I did find one with no right answer, with 0<x<y (not the answer lol for those trying to cheat. it gives nothing away). That was weird.

@WickedKid

yeah my bad should of added (sarcasm) at the end but it’s all good. as far as the difficulty, I thought it was alright. Nothing compared to sparknotes or the released version of Math IIC. Totally different.

Seriously people, am I the only one who thought it was tricky/hard? I’m praying for a 780/790.

Shoot, you’re right. It was definitely #47. I remember now.

The 0<x<y question had an obvious answer.

What’s considered a ‘good’ score for a potential science major? +750?

Because other the tests’ topics are discussing questions now… I suppose it’s okay for us to do so?

based on the past two test dates the embargo should be lifted around 1:30 est so i am fine waiting about an hour and not taking the chance because i remember a post i saw a few months ago by some guys who was tracked down after posting on cc during the embargo and all his cb scores were revoked and he was never aloud to take another cb test again.

46 was the one with the absolute values and the ab fraction. I agree with your answer on the cone one. And the 2/5 3/5 one asked for the smaller angle that the two lines made.

I totally set up a disk method integral for the solid of revolution problem. I love using calculus on standardized tests that don’t require it. <3

uhhh…idk what to think, i mean it was definitely way easier than the barrons, thank god haha. but there were some tricky questions on there… ugh well i left 5 blank and guessed on about 6 (i was pretty sure about all the others tho)… what do u guys think my score range is?

Oh now I know what question 46 was…
It’s simple analytical geometry with trig

does anyone remember if the answer to the (x^2)^3 question was D?

@SamWhich

Yeah, even though when I plugged it back in, it wasn’t quite the same due to rounding

yeah i got d as well

wat was the laser question?
what was the value where g(x) is 0?

“I totally set up a disk method integral for the solid of revolution problem. I love using calculus on standardized tests that don’t require it. <3”

I did too! I was sad when they didn’t put any questions asking for minima or maxima… totally would have done some derivatives.

For #46 I just did arctan(5/2)-arctan(5/3). I believe the answer was A.

The laser question was D, I believe…

i put d too
