June 2010: Math II

what happens if i took it wit a 2-5/8 pencil

so. that was incredibly straight-forward.

Ugh, I ended up skipping 3 because I started to panic in the last few minutes. If I had more time I could’ve done them for sure (figured one out in the car in about 1 minute lmao). I didn’t have time to check my answers, but I was unsure of about 2-3 of them. I hope I didn’t make any careless mistakes and that the curve is generous, although from what you guys are saying, it was relatively easy xP

Which number was the problem with 2/5 and 3/5 (this doesn’t give anything away)? Was it like 47/48/49/50?

I think I may have created a frameshift error…

Ralec, I think I know what you’re talking about. I remember that problem being on the top of the second to last page (lol weird memory). I’d created a program in my calculator to solve that kind of question very quickly in case it came up…

there might have been threads on this, but are you allowed to have programs and formulas stored inside of your calculator? It would make the test 100x easier. [taking it next year]

This test was way easier than I thought it would be.

I actually finished it with time leftover, which never happens for me.

oh man, the Barron’s prep book saved me for this one because they had a calculator program in there that did EXACTLY what you needed for that question

so uh
we’re not allowed to discuss questions

but uh
let me just say #45 had no right answer @_@

^ Don’t remember which one that is, but I did skip three questions and two of them seemed like they had no right answer. Haha.

The fact that I go to a school with a different system kind of screwed me over, because there are some topics I haven’t actually covered. I self-studied a couple of them, but I didn’t start until Monday, so I didn’t cover any of it in great depth. I think I can still get 3 or 4 wrong and get an 800 though.

I too think that there was at least one question with no right answer, I wonder why or how that came through in the test.

I believe every question had a correct answer to it.

nothing compared to the sparknotes tests

2/5 and 3/5?
Without giving information, what did the question generally ask for?
I think CB says as long as you don’t discuss the actual question, it’s fine…I think.

^they’ll track your ip address

Oh please, has anyone on this site ever faced consequences for talking about the test before the embargo was lifted? Does CB do google searches, trying to find people talking about it? Doubt it.

haha i was being sarcastic. everyone discusses the questions. I know i did as soon as I walked out.

triangle rotation across x axis to make a cone?
was it 18.8?

The 2/5 and 3/5 question was number 46, I think.

This post reveals absolutely nothing about the question content though.

Anyone else think that was hard? :\ I skipped 8. That’s not 800 material…
