June 2010 Math

I definitely don’t remember that question…

ok so for the fill ins i compiled 6 out of the 8

9970 (4 digit number)
22(chairs)
4.5 (slope)
72 (angle)
104 (infinitely many solutions)
6 (g(0))

what two am i missing?

The shaded triangle was 1/8 of the area. c/b was 1/3.

yess i got that also very nice

cornetking, what was c/b again? I recall bubbling 1/3 but I don’t remember what the question was like :p

Like some fraction equation and the c and b were under two numbers. It asked for the ratio of c to b.

^ Ah, I remember now. Thanks!

BTW, what did you get on your last SAT?

Around a 2250. I don’t want to say the exact score. My reading was below 700 and I made several stupid mistakes on my math. I think I fixed both of these problems this time. However, I definitely got a lower writing score from my 800 last time.

^ Could someone explain the slope question, I still dont understand it but want to understand it for future reference. October/November Senior SAT lol.

It was -m because the triangle was isosceles. If it were -1/m, the triangle would not have been.

Do you guts remember a question that said “All numbers in set X are divisible by 2 and some were divisble by 3.” What was the answer for that one? I put " some were divisble by 6." other than this and the n+2 question Im pretty sure I got the rest.

Mbstriker, you got the right answer. Some were divisible by 6, but not all.

For what question was either 4 or 28 a correct answer?

Which number is divisible by 28 and not 14 or something, I’m not entirely sure. But I put 28.

Both answers were correct.

Does anyone remember the exact wording of the c/b question? I can remember it, but I still don’t recall it perfectly (and it’s getting confused with the “1/4 of pets are birds” thing in my brain right now). Was it like 9/c = 3/b?

9/b = 3/c
b = 9, c = 3
c/b = 3/9 = 1/3

^ But wouldn’t 9/b = 3/c yield that b=3 and c=9? confused

Yeah lol I got it backwards. You had it right the first time. :p

^ Ah, okay. Thanks! :D
