June 2010 Math

crap did the chairs ask for how many were left or how many did he remove?

remove
10char

How many he removed, right?

Removed… yea, I almost messed that up to.

Still wondering about 2 questions I asked.

was the question for the 20 test scores

I or I II also please explain.

so far i only think i got 2 wrong and 1 is a maybe. was the 20 test one the roman numeral question?
i dont remember it exactly but i remember confirming that 3 worked since the mean was above 4

just curious
what does 10char mean

IV - if you’re talking about the c/b one, yeah, I got 1/3.

@Shaheirrudin

There were 20 people in the class, 8 got 5s, 7 got 4s. I said that 5 was the mode, which is true, and II said that 4 was the median, which is true, since 5 people got below a 4 and 4 would be the middle number.

Yeah.

You can’t post anything less than 10 characters long, so people add 10char to make it long enough.

I suck at Math, what was the 20 scores question?

IV or someone else, can you please expalin how you got 81 for the 90%/10% one? i plugged stuff in and got 9…

^ ^ there was no choice saying mode was 5. it was the mean was above 4 for the last choice

Yes, for the student grades one I got I and II. I believe that was choice D?

That one took me a few minutes to figure out. For some reason I just couldn’t focus.

^ yeah, and if everyone else got a 1, the mean score would be lower (like 3.47 or something) so III is not necessarily true.
and im assuming the embargo was lifted?

this isnt in response to the post i meant but oh well lol

Let’s organize the answers we have in a list so people don’t have to keep asking:

c/b: 1/3
Chairs: 22
Triangle/square thing: 3sqrt2
20 people: I and II

Feel free to add to list!

c/b: 1/3
Chairs: 22
Triangle/square thing: 3sqrt2
20 people: I and II
90%/10%: 81

c/b: 1/3
Chairs: 22
Triangle/square thing: 3sqrt2
20 people: I and II
90%/10%: 81
3 circles: 1
Some circumference thing: 10pi
Another circumference thing: 32pi

300x/100-x so 90 would be 27000/10 or 2700 and 10 was 3000/90 or 100/3

and 2700 / (100/3) gives 81 8100/100 is 81

possibly stupid question… how sure are you guys that the chair one asked how many were taken away?

i finished that section 14 minutes early so i did it again and both times i read it as “how many chairs were left?” and i put 50 obviously…(72-22)
