IMPROVING SENTENCES (0/11)

ERROR IDENTIFICATION (14/18)
compared Jupiter’s weather to Earth — “Earth” should be “that of Earth”
Although …, but … — Although is redundant so answer is A
sister and I put our hand in lake — should be “hands”
three things were being compared and “more” was used — should be “most”
Stonehenge question — “has been” wrong tense
a woman who would have “went” to college — should be “would have gone”
women became a person in their own right — plurality mismatch on “a person”
… one …, you — pronoun inconsistency, “you” is the error
Number of something, …, “are growing” — should be “is growing”
intent about — should be “intent on”
enjoyed opera more than all types of performance — should be “all other types”
molars question – pay attention to
“That their works were criticized by famous artist who … no surprise to …” — no error
i got #29 (last of section) as no error. anyone remember the question? anyone confirm?

PARAGRAPH BASED (6/6)
In my case…
insert after the first sentence about scientists, i think #8
delete the sentence
“They also” purr when they are stressed
Cats purr when content; for example, my cat…

“seems to be the one” –> “is certainly plausible”

SECTION 10 (3/14)
Dinosaur question — term…,was coined in year #, though scientists knew.

12 D “as a result of either”

Draconian question(#13) Fine as is. “as is indicated by…” A

I believe there was some misplaced modifier as #28. Bla bla bla, wrong subject …
Can anyone confirm this?

does anyone remember what the errors were in the sentence about Agassiz and the glaciers and the sentence about the petrified logs (these may have been experimental)?

What was the the answer to the question about their work being critiqued? The on that started with That? I put “that” as the error. Can anyone tell me if im wrong.

I put no error as did a few other people who posted earlier. But i don’t think anyone really knows for sure.

The best i can remember of the sentence (it was longer than this):
That the works of the novice artists were critiqued by the professional artist came as no surprise to them.

the general construction of the sentence sounded a bit weird, but what could you have done with the word “that” specifically to make the sentence better grammatically?

^I am sure that the answer to that question is no error. “That” makes the clause act like a noun phrase. It works in the same way as “the fact that”: “the fact that they were critiqued came as no surprise to them.”
