June 2012 World History SAT II

what was the one about akbar’s divine faith? i couldn’t decide between one unifying religion and the one with different religious groups accepting other policies or whatever (it was either D or E for that one)

I believe it unified religions…

(Awesome language there, PurpleRock.)

also what was the one about tang and song and confucianism or something? why did i put that warriors or something should be involved in government… i think it was merchants should have lower rank than peasants. but i thought it was uncharacteristic of confucianism idk -_-

idk if i’m right but i put merchants would rank lower than peasants simply because the government was a meritocracy based on the knowledge of Confucian texts. that was a weird one for me though

I think it is was merchants under peasants.
I remember reading how they thought merchants don’t really do any work but benefit from others’ works.

what did you guys put for the nomad question? was it because of horse mounted weaponry or something or control of trade routes?
and for the industrialization and women, i am pretty sure it is middle class women and that they are at house wives. Birth rates don’t increase due to industrialization btw

I put their skill in horse.

guys the answer to the indian ghandi one is export of indian goods

@lamlam why would they want to export goods, that would bring in more foreign influence right?wait… is that even pertaining to the question because i can’t remember what it asked. but i put clothing because from mahatma.com:
“Returning to India from South Africa, where he had enjoyed a successful legal practice, he gave up wearing Western-style clothing, which he associated with wealth and success. He dressed to be accepted by the poorest person in India. He advocated the use of homespun cloth (khadi). Gandhi and his followers adopted the practice of weaving their own clothes from thread they themselves spun, and encouraged others to do so. This was a threat to the British establishment.”

alright guys 11 omit and 4 wrong= 800?

@IamIam I agree with your answer I think the question was about gaining economic power or something like that. Also, I hope that equals 800. I think I skipped 9 and got 6 wrong.

my teacher said 16 wrong is 800

what was the answer to yalta

peace i think?

just in case… what would say 25ish wrong be?

i put something to do with politics on the axis powers’ lands

after a quick google search, i think you’re probably right lamlam

Yalta is post war disarmament and for the Gandhi one it is homespun cotton because of SELF sufficiency in which people mad ethe cotton themselves. It is in the movie Gandhi.

I hope I get a good score! This test was okay. Kinda difficult.

I omitted one question, though.

what is the answer to the daoism one and was william the conquerer an answer?
