June 2012 World History SAT II

I thought it was harder than the AP exam but not too hard. My APWH teacher gave us tests very similar to that one and some way harder so I don’t think it was that bad. I was nervous I wouldn’t finish but I did with about ten minutes left over. I wish guessed for the ones I omitted! I realized that I would’ve gotten all the answers correct.

i thought the ap mc was so easy! it was just reading but like none of them really stumped me. on this one it had a lot of topics i never really went over so i definitely got way more wrong, i missed 11+ and omitted only 5. now that i think about it i wonder why i even put down some answers cuz i really had no clue what the answer was, should have just omitted!

^Same except I did bad on the ap exam too LOL Had a horrible teacher -_- we barely touched the 1800s and that’s as far as we went :(

@daesung same for the bad teacher haha! it was the first year we’ve had wh at our school and they just didn’t do so great teaching. like at all. he’d just say, “you guys, knowledge is EXPECTED.” i’m like, okay where do you EXPECT us to get it then? bleh good thing for barron’s review book! though i probably did worse than others that didn’t even have to self-study-ish (for the ap and sat)

Well Im hoping for a 4 or 5 on the ap exam cuz I did fairly well on the essays and mc maybe like 4-8 wrong maybe more xD Haha but dam this sat subject test was pretty hard :open_mouth: I mean… yea >.>

What’s the answer to the Meiji restoration-European weapons?

i put europeans were focused on something while the japanese were exporting electronics ?

okay, some of the other questions:
the map on #8 was polynesian migrations
Maya city-states and Rome didn’t communicate
Balfour declaration was i think choice C, britain promised jewish homeland
Ibn Battuta passage: gender roles not uniform throughout islamic society, women in morocco not allowed to entertain men other than their husbands
Declaration of Rights of Man- Enlightenment

Was there a question about people not wanting to move across the ocean or something? Some of the choices were Buddhism and jainism, christians and jews, hindus and animism

I’m getting kinda scared. I got almost all of the ones I answered correct, but I omitted around 15-17. Can I still get 750+?

So far I got 8 wrong and those were all the ones I knew were tough. Expecting a 780+
Do any of you remmeber the Great Lakes question? I said it was iron because theya re famous for thei copper deposits, not iron.

yeah, the North American civilizations around the Great Lakes did not have iron weapons before the Europeans came.

what did you put for the one about how the Europeans dominated everyone in the 1500s and 1600s. I said it was because of advanced naval technology and ships.

There was a question about the Qin dynasty. I’m not sure what it was but I selected standardized writing. Do any of you know what the question was?

yes I put that. Qin Shi Huangdi is known for standardization. Can someone tell me w=about the question about how the Europeans dominated evryone in the 1500s and 1600s. I said it was because of naval technologyu is that correct?

Yeah, I got that too. Since Portugal started the naval explorations, all of Europe got interested in advancing naval technology, and that basically started the age of European domination via imperialism and whatnot.

Wasn’t it because they were united under one ruler? I put that because of Ferdinand and Isabella

^but that was just Spain. I think naval technology was much more important.

Alright. How about the one with the people who didn’t want to relocate? I put hindus and animists

whoa what number is that^ I dont remember.
And for the one for Akbar did u put a unified religion or religions cannot recognize the other religion’s beliefs
