Also they must’ve been lenient with the essays because honestly I wrote one of my worst essays to date and scored an 8…should’ve been a 5 or lower because it sucked

I got a 7 essay even though I loved my essay :(

@jellybae that sucksss omg, basically when I reread my essay at the end I realized it had awkward sentences and some of it didn’t make sense, but overall I had good ideas you know?

Wow I hope I can get to a 2000 on my next try or at least a superscore of 2000, I’d actually cry I only need 120 points let us pray

Ya I completely failed on my essay too yet somehow I got a 10. Maybe the graders had a hangover or something.

I don’t know if this helps, but in the may(my first) SAT I got a 1880 SAT, and on the June SAT, I raised it to a 2040. So I’m pretty sure you can raise your score to a 2000 with a lot of practice.

CR 480
M 710
W 570

Not proud of my scores… Will definitely retry on october.

@jellybae same… ugh. i thought the topic was really straightforward, I had two good examples, and I made sure to explain them thoroughly. i was confident i’d get at least a 10, but no, i got a 6. out of 12.

780 cr 800 math and writing, improved from a 2070 last December!

well im not mad bc my first one in march i got an 1800 flat and this time i got a 2000 but im really hoping that i can get 2100+ in october:(

CR: 700
M:600 (■■■ is up with the curve for math)
W: 700

Essay: 11 (haha i literally wrote about hitler it was so bad idk how this happened)
MC: 63

do you think i can improve by another 100 points in october? i really didnt prepare for either sat at all so hopefully if i do prepare i can boost my score again :-S

Do you guys think the scoring system was under error?

I thought I wrote an amazing essay and I only got an 8?? I am comparing it to last year’s SAT and I wrote an awful essay and received an 8.

I wonder if something is cocked-eyed with the scoring.

Does anyone know off hand how long a person has to ask for a reread or re-score of the test?

@Joe2015 I don’t know how many specifically but it takes multiple weeks.

My results:
CR 710 M 800 W 740 got a W 750 before.
improved from CR 630 last October so yay
As an Asian I’m satisfied with my score.

I know I can score a high math subscore I just have to work on it! What books do you recommend to raise your math sat by at least 100+ points?

The math curve was harsh

@Marrissa how was the curve harsh? Was -2 like a 740? My scores are delayed so I’m not sure yet.

@Jarjarbinks23 I THINK i missed 1 and I got a 770. That tells me that this math section was of average difficulty. Maybe i missed another one due to a careless error, I’ll have to look at the detailed score report to find out.

@humbugs this is what another person got for the June SAT 2014:

740 CR 790 M 800 W Essay 10
I’m…disappointed with CR
but happy anyway!

The person got a 790 (which is a rare score even for only 1 wrong) so I was wondering if the curve was lenient.
