***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@Jarjarbinks23‌ I guess I misunderstood. I thought those were two different questions. Thank god I put perpetuate…

for the publicity rights one-- I remember being stuck between the two but also having an aha moment when I realized the one not exclusively talking about celebrity publicity rights was actually talking about PRIVACY rights? Am I totally crazy haha?

@thenarwhalking‌ I’m fairly certain it was untenable; it couldn’t have been inexplicable because there was reason behind their convictions, he was just doubtful that they were true.

Looks like the ACT will become my best friend this summer

Alright, assuming I get 700+ in math, I am done with the SAT I. I have already taken SAT twice now and 3 AP exams, so I just need the two SAT subject tests then I’m done!! So close yet so far.

So what is everyone’s goal score? Like what score would be enough to not give you a reason to retake?

@ahawkins‌ Originally I wanted a 2350 or higher…but I doubt that now, so I’m not retaking it if I get anything above 2300 :expressionless:

Anything above a 2200 is good enough for me

@presque as far as I can recall the 2nd passage the privacy issue was more concentrated in the 2nd passage than the 1st… because the 2nd one argued how everybody should be able to use the music / argued publicity rights shouldnt really exist, while the 1st one simply EXPLAINED/didnt hold a specific position about publicity rights in general.

I think the key difference between the 2 is that the 1st paragraph didnt hold a specific position…all it did was explain how publicity rights impacted society, while the 2nd one said those rights are stupid.

700+ on each section is what my parents if they weren’t going to make me retake. But I know I can get a 750+ on CR, which I doubt I did on this test, and will probably retake if just for superscoring purposes.

Then again maybe I didn’t totally bomb critical reading and got a 2150! Nothing’s impossible, right?

I think we will only for sure know the answer to the publicity rights question if we see the exact question itself.

I’m hoping for a 770-800 in CR, a 700-770 in Math and about a 720 in Writing.

I already have a 710 W from previous time, so my only goal for this one was a 680+ Math. I’m pretty sure I got it.

My march scores were atrocious so I can’t super score with them. I definitely did a lot better on each section this time around. I just want something over 2200 (preferably 680-800 on each section). If I don’t get my score with this test then I’ll probably just bank on the ACT since I’m applying early to one school and need to take my subject tests in October. If I want to I’ll take the SAT again in November

For the math question about the triangle: 1 side is 15 and the second side is twice the third side, was the answer A? I knew the right answer was 6, but I might have bubbled in the wrong one :/

Yes, that one was A.

Sorry to post again but for the ant question on the passage with the guy in NYC there were two answer choices that were ok. One was “each ant functions as a single unit.” What was the other choice? I think it had the word “group” in it.

It can’t be the single unit one because the guy was saying how everyone acts like one

@Lolbeast1 I’m pretty sure the answer was something along the lines of “functioning as one cohesive unit/group”. I could be wrong though.

You’re right I believe @wchristen89‌

My answer had the word group in it so I hope that was the only choice with “group”!
