So was that close to end question really about the author questioning his identity?

“There is only one way to interpret gravity, and that is the existence of matter. Everything in the Universe has a gravitational pull on everythging else…but when astronomers tried to fiond the source of gravity they found…nothing.”

Was this the lines the question whose answer to was “Principle that allowed scientists to infer the existence of dark matter?” If so, I think I put “conventional wisdom undermined…” :((

@Jellybae supposedly yes (based on the googledoc consensus).

I can’t prove it for sure since I switched from “posterity” to “identity” answer choice right when the time ran out, since something in my brain told me the “posterity” choice wasn’t said by the passage

Now that I think about it, my answer makes sense.

Do you remember the question or more answer choices? @Jarjarbinks23

I feel like CB should omit the Ruth Behar question. All of the choices were horrid…

@Jellybae the question I believe was “What is the meaning of the word, memory?” or something close to it. and I dont remember the other choices but I can explain why the answer is (probably) the “individuality” one.

The passage said something about the Ethiopian saying “you must remember this,” which seemed to be pointing to the sights of NY and how everything in NY went against what he believed (like scarcity of materials in his home country, but in NY its everywhere).

You can argue (not necessarily prove) it is posterity, since the Ethiopian isnt staying at NY forever. BUT, there’s no direct proof that he wants to keep those memories for relishing back in ethiopia … especially since posterity is not even implied in the latter half of the passage.

If anything, the latter half of the passage revolves around how the Ethiopian feels violated/left out, due to the aforementioned values he once kept, and those values are being contradicted in New York. So based on that, I’m sure that the answer would be the one with “individuality.”

Oh no not that question!!! I was talking about the dark matter passage @Jarjarbinks23

@Jellybae Ah XD, what question specifically? Could you mention a small fragment of it?

I don’t remember @Jarjarbinks23

@Jellybae what were the Ruth Behar questions?

@humbugs it was a writing question with lots of “being”'s

anybody remember more dark matter questions?

@humbugs don’t feel bad, you still probably did way better than me in reading. i didn’t do that well on the ethopian guy passage and the celebrity one. i didn’t think i did that well on the small passages either. anywhere from 8-14 wrong on passage based questions. hopefully 11 wrong with maybe 2 vocab wrong and i could SQUEAK out a 600 if not then well

@humbugs only ones I remember are the ones about “ranged” “that ranged” / “Add (During her trip)” and something about what her supporters would say about her stunts.

Isn’t it unlikely that CB would omit the Ruth Behar question?

@sat2014 thanks! You probably did great on CR.

@Jarjarbinks23 wasn’t that the nelly bly writing passage, not the behar one?

Yeah it’s unlikely I was just saying for effect yano @LOLBeast1

@humbugs what was the ruth passage about?

no clue, jelly said it was a writing question with a lot of “being.” sounds familiar but i don’t remember it
