***JUNE 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

Which book has the most accurate practice tests for he current ACT? I know the Red Book is a bit outdated.

@asappebble Do you want the actual ACT tests for practice? Someone sent me ike 20 of them from past test days

Could you send me them too?

oh can you send some to me too?

Are the test scales of this test gonna be similar to the previous ones this year? Because I remember taking a 2012 test and my scores were a bit lower than I expected according to the scale conversion chart.

@gatortristan that would be awesome if you wouldn’t mind PM ing them! thanks!

@asappebble nice profile picture :wink:

haha thanks @kuriosmind. it’s the dream

So since everyone said that the June SAT was really easy…I’m hoping the same thing happens for us on Saturday. May the curve PLEASE be with us.

How bad truly was the April ACT?

About to take last years june test praying 4 that 30+ lol

Do you guys know a website that reviews all ACT math? I would like to get a 35 math- currently at a 33.

@duhlife i have a membership at a website called reasonprep and he has a bootcamp where he reviews concepts for every section of the act. Some of it might be free. If you search up reasonprep in google u should find it

@duhlife A great site for math review is ACT Quantum. There are videos for every math problem.

Can anyone help me w/ this problem? :
Which of the following angles cannot be the measure of any angle in an obtuse triangle
F.30
G.37
H.60
J.90
K.126

@gatortristan the answer would be J) 90 degrees. an obtuse triangle must have one angle that exceeds 90, but all must still total to 180. if there is an angle that is equal to 90 and then another angle greater than 90 plus the third angle, the total would be greater than 180 and would not fit the definition of a triangle. hope that makes sense!

@Gatortristan the answer is j. An obtuse triangle has an angle that is greater than 90. K dosnt work because 126 may be the measure of the obtuse angle. If u have an angle thats greater than 90 you cant have 1 that is 90 because if u add the angles togethor u will get a number greater than 180 and for a triangle all angles need to equal 180

@asappebble I understand but why can’t it also not be 126? 126 is greater than 90 and if any other angle is larger than 90 than it can’t be a triangle.

@gatortristan basically because 126 could be the obtuse angle and then there could be two angles less than 90.

@cooldude1098 @asappebble Ohhhhhhh I understand now thank you! I literally had to read the question like 5 times for some reason i couldn’t understand lol.
