June 2016 Living Environment Regents

for the dinosaur one I inferred that the dinousours could fly since they had wings. is that acceptable?

My friend suggested that but he wasn’t too sure himself. If you derived it from the text then I’m sure you will get it right.

ok thanks. there were definitely so many more passages than previous years and less bullet writing tasks

For the dinosaur one I said it may have been an ancestor to the modern day turkey… pls tell me that’s correct

I hope the wings/flying answer is acceptable for the dinosaur one, it’s not as good as the common ancestor answer, but I know a lot of people put wings/flying.

Yes common ancestor is right. Most of the kids in my school did that.

I’m pretty sure wings/flying is correct we asked our bio teachers right after the regents and they said either of those work.

Why does the answer key still require a password if the exam was completed already?

What did everyone say for the role of mutation/recombination in the formation of the black fur trait?

I know @SSBP101 it may be the dumbest thing ever

Just another way to torture us…

is anyone taking the algebra 2 trig regents this Friday? im so nervous

@“Albert G.” I am, at least the curve aint as bad as this one

For mutation in formation of the black fur I said something like gene expression due to the environment and how mutations occured in the genes of the light brown mice enabling it to grow black fur instead of light brown

yeah that’s correct

I wasn’t sure exactly what they were asking for, basically just said that a mutation in the gamete of a mouse caused the trait, and enabled it to be passed on.

I’m so pissed off at the question with paramecium ugh and the one with the starch indicator I thought because the starch couldn’t get out, the indicator couldn’t get in…

I might just take it in August for a better score

Which paramecium question was it?

I said mutation caused black trait. It was unfavorable before, but after it helped them survive
