Mostly same as you do, but instead i got 5 wrong in reading and the same in writing, but the score counts up to be 1500, instead of 1520, is that curve too harsh?
How is a superscore of 1510(760 M 750 EBRW)? I got a 1460 the first time then a 1480.
I got a 1420 (700 M 720EBRW), but a superscore of 1440 (720 both sections). I thought the curve on the reading was a bit harsh as I only missed 4 questions on the reading section and received a 36/40 subscore. What do you guys think?
@mclaughlinm34 The curve was definetly very tough. I missed 4 all together on reading and writing and got a 750.
41/44 for writing but 35/40 subscore. Too harsh?
Also did anyone notice the total number of questions for the Reading section (at least for my set) was set to 51?
1510 total, 710crw 800m
Good catch! It’s the same for me. Quite honestly, the one question on a certain science passage was so wonky, I thought that they might disqualify it.
@sunrisereader I got 5 wrong in math and got a 770…
Wow the curve played out great for you! @Fangirl1999 In March, I got 6 wrong on the math portion and got a 720
EBRW curve was definitely harsh for June. My D got fewer wrong but her score went down.
Mar SAT -5 = 760
June SAT -4 = 750
@legalpad12 if you are happy with your SAT then don’t worry about ACT. If not for NMF, my S would not have bothered with taking SAT. Often people are told to try the other test in case they might do better on the other format, but if you don’t need better then dont bother!
do you guys think a 1440 is good enough for ivy league?
@flatKansas Good advice— thank you!
I got an 800 in Bio M but it is only 96th percentile?? How can 4 percent score higher than me when I got a perfect?? Can someone explain>
4% people got perfect score, same as you @kyrieIrving2 . Bio E percentile is slightly better, 98%, I believe for 800, meaning 2% get 800s.
@smileydinosaur A 1440 will not keep you out of the Ivy League. If you
look at the comments in this thread you were probably 3 or 4 wrong answers from a 1500. Go ahead and take it again in October, but in the meantime, please work on the other aspects of your application.
To those who took the exact same test as the March or was it April SAT? How did you do??
Who had the exact same test ?
My 8th-grade S got his first SAT result: 1500, 710 in english, 790 in math. good enough for CTY program.
@JKMSNJ , last time I talked to CTY, they will not have the qualifying scores for new SAT until the fall. I was waiting for that for my DS20 - he took in March. 1500 s an excellent score for 8th grader. He will qualify for Grand ceremony.
Congrats!
@SincererLove , i was actually surprised when I first saw the score. I will check the CTY courses for him later. btw, do you have idea about the quality of the CTY courses? trying to get him in the writing course? thanks.
Hi guys I have a doubt. I have given the SAT and got marks of 1550 (800 in Maths and 750 in R&W), but Essay I have not done well, only 5/5/6 in the essay. Is this a problem?
