For all those out there who had a passage on bees, apple trees, and subjects vs objects, what was the answer to the question that asked about a certain paragraph after the paragraph about coevolution? I was stuck between “apply a concept to a new context” or “compare two points of view”

@SenorCamel: So what are you saying? that A was right or not right? What’d you put?

some people at the start of the thread said,
“the highest max value problem was the one with blahblahblah + (-2)^2”

“yeah because all the other options subtracted from the max (instead of adding 2 they subtracted stuff cuz of the odd exponent) . the max of x^2+2 is 2 but for -(x+2)^2+4, its 4. (plug in 0 and -2 respectively). You could even graph them on the calculator.”

and when i graphed them on the calc i got (-2)^2

OH MY GOODNESS seriously that was the easiest math question. Just substitute values for each choice and find the resulting value. WHICHEVER ONE IS THE NEAREST TO 0 OR THE GREATEST IS THE ANSWER

now answer mine

What was the 25 Critical Reading section about!!! What passages for those of you who had it.

@vsizzle222 The answer was applying it in a new context. Nowhere does the author make a comparison. He applies a view in a different context. The bees take on the role of the human.

@vvip what did you put?

For what the math question or the Cr question?

It could very well be a comparison. But for some reason I chose new context. It seemed the most moderate and reasonable choice. idk lol

i was talkin about the math one lol

@vsizzle222 i put A, the shortest, because im almost positive that it worked out the maximum value

I believe I chose A.
To check I just substituted the integer 2 into ever x, and it was A so I finally decided to choose it.

and forgive me for bringing this up, but are we even allowed to be talking about this stuff, they say so much we cant talk baout the test? :D

Repost:
Does anyone remember a question about false turns in the passage about directions? As I remember some of the answer choices were unnatural, erroneous, disloyal, and untrue.

It was B

I graphed every option and choice B worked out to be the largest.

yoyodog, I had that passage too, but I think that was our reading experimental.

For the (-x+2)^2+(-2^2) question, how was the question worded? Wasn’t it just like which of follow has the maximum value. I just graphed each choice and (B) yielded the maximum value.

That would make sense because nobody is talking about that section… do you remember who you put for that?

@yoyodog: the question you had about some vocab words… that had to have been an experimental right? Cuz I definitely don’t remember any of those haha

did anyone have three writing sections? i had two writing sections of 35 questions each and one with 10

i had an four reading section, could someone please clarify which one was the experimental? :)
