June 4 SAT I Math Only

i had

essay
verbal
math
verbal
math
writing

i think they mix up the order a little bit though

nope I never had 7 people in french class etc....

what section was that for you?

it was 3.....

its like french class 7 and spanish 6. 2 were in both. answer was 4

oman... i think i put 100/pi rather than pi/100! damnit

lol couldn't have cuz there was no choice like that they were all pi/something

Did any of you get a question that went like this: if f(x)=-2x+2, and it is parallel to another line with y-intercept k and x intercept .5k, and the trapezoid formed between the two lines has an area of 8, what is the value of k?

Did any of you get 6 for the answer?

oo was the french question part of the section that had the triangle in the circle and the answer was 40 and like the last one in the section was 1/2?

it was like f(r+1) - f(r) = f(s) and what does s =?
s = 1/2

infernodragon, it was a multiple choice question, so...
edit: and 100/pi was the correct answer in the first place :P

zeningchen, even though I didn't have your test, a lot of people earlier in the thread have said they got 6 for the trapezoid question.

what do you guys think the curve will be for minus 1?

oh ya bout the parabola the answer is (-4,6) right?

the only answer was pie/100...so you got it right...i made the stupidest mistake on the grid ins by saying the slope was 6/3 when it was really 3/6...and how did you guys find the answer to be X for the triangle X=(x+1)

Yeah I got 6 since it was k squared/4 -1 = 8 so k squared equals 9 times 4

lol haha way to freak out on my part, eh?

thanks for the correction

vehement, that's what everybody has been saying, -4

merudh, for that one I think I got the answer of "2", but that would mean f(s) would have to be 2, and not just s. Maybe I didn't do enough work on that problem??

reiterate on the slope one...i don't quite rmbr such a problem

yeah f(s) = 2 and then when you solve it it's .5

-4?

it was (-4,0) and the equation was y = f(x) + 6. so its (-4, 6 ) ?

what u mean by -4

there was a box ABCD on a xy plane. they gave the coordinates to each of the points... telling you to find the slope of AC (not drawn) which was the diagonal of the box.

woops, f(s) = 2, but then substituting in the function...

(s+1)^2-s^2=2, and s=1/2. Darnit. :(
