June 4 SAT I Math Only

for directly proport., does x increase as y increases? ie. formula is x=k/y??

fed do you remember what the questions for the first two were? the 900 and 70?

alright well these are my things

if you had any of these problems and have any other answers to them...reply

for the grid-in: set a and set c...that was 3/11
for the If x = 4, then y > 3 it was D --> y < 3 then x not equal to 4
the 2 circles and a square in middle was 24 pi
for the absolute value of (C-20.5) <= .5 it was pi/100

any others hard ones? can't rmbr job my memory

also the f(x) = 4000/ [ (2x)^2 + 1 ] and what is the highest value of f(x). It was 4000 I think

did anyone have a chart of function vlues ad it was asking whats the function relation between g(x) and f(x)

^I got all that too.

The prime number one was definitely p+2. I don't remember a restriction on a value of p but it didn't matter to me.
a) p + 1 (p is prime, so it has to be odd, p+1 would be even and divisible by 2)
b) p + 2
c) 2p (divisible by 2 and p)
d) p^2 (divisible by p)
e) p^3 (p x p x p...so divisible by p)

The recreation one was 1050. I also got 2 for something, don't remember the question. The rectangle one was 72.

the only one i missed on the whole math section was the black triangle symbol one? Does anyone remember how to do that one? Am I just stupid because I got the same answers as you all for everything else. I ommited the triangle one.

I put 2000 on the function problem, ack I forgot about 0. :/

that was number 1 >_>

it was c. 5.5 times 12 i think

vehement the black triangle one that i got was number 19 on the last math section.

cmon hypernovae lol...just graph it on calc...and well the prime is def.
p + 2 and the black triangle symbol I think was x if I'm not mistaken...I know I got it right cuz approx function did all my work for me lol

oh nvm. sorry wrong question

Ryan, /_\x=-x+1

/(/\x)=
/_(-x+1)=
-(-x+1)+1=
x-1+1=
x

woot woot nice job

The black triangle one I remember was 20 - (10x10^2 + 10x10^2)/10^2. Or maybe that was an open triangle. It was probably a different problem than the one you're remembering.

thanks hyper, i was about to put a different answer but i didnt want to risk a stupid guess so i omitted it.

If you get every math question right except for one ommitted is that an 800 or 790?

any other hard math questions? I thought the math wasn't too bad cept it was harder than CB blue book definately.

luckyduskythesr, you are right. whew, i put 3 also

I thought the math was easier than the blue book, could just be because I'm more focused during the actual test though.

The phone company question was:

70 mins

Company A has $14 charge plus $.30 for every minute
Company B has $30 charge plus $.15 for every minute over 50

Find dif. between A and B
