wait... for the question for the sqrx sqry = 10.... the answer coould be 50 right? like root of 25 + root of 25.... it didn't say they were distinct numbers right? or did it?

ah yes now i remember. thanks

Was 1/9 the answer to #20 on the first math section? (Dealt with the skidding of speeding cars when they brake)

Does anyone remember the answer for the parabola question with the positive constant p?

For the answers Fed04 gave, what was the questions to answers that were 12 and 8?

i think its -4 to the post by ryan

Ok guys, i think there were multiple tests. I mean, i have NO CLUE WHICH QUESTIONS YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT.

The 900 questions was

f(t) = 100t^2 + 50

Find differerence between f(5) and f(4).

K, guys, i took the SAT (jun 4) here in Canada and NONE of your questions appeared on my test ><....

ali thats ok, it seemed there were MANY versions. The CR thread had only one post about my sections.

.... can someone answer my question...

for the problem that was like (squareroot of x) + (squareroot of y) = 10

did x and y have to be distinct different numbers...?

It didn't say they had to be distinct.

yeah for fed04's grid in problems...which was the problem with answer 12...i think i remember putting 12 down but i jus wanna be sure...

also there was a question involving f(x) and g(x) and the answer i put was y = x/m - (b/m)

I'm gonna work #20 :P

The equation for the length of skidmark for a car braking at a certain speed (v) for the time t (or some other variable whose property I forgot) is v=2sqrt(100t). If one car braked for 5 seconds, and had a skidmark 3 times longer than a car that braked for 5k seconds, what is k?

2sqrt(500)=3(2sqrt500k)
(2sqrt(500))^2=(32sqrt500k))^2
(4500)=(36*500k)
2000=18000k
(2000/18000)=k
1/9=k

um, right? :/

Yeah, I got the same thing for the g(x) problem, but I can't remember the one with 12.

Yes I got 1/9 for the skid mark.

And the open ended about pushing the button/flipping the switch to make a noise or whatever was 2 pushes of the button.

so that means that the answer could also have been 50 right?
...haha.. im juss making sure cuz i dont want any stupid mistakes
-_-

Yeah, 50, 58, or 82.

w00t.

thanks

everyone got the prob with the circles and a triangle in them?
