Yea. I am not sure how them finding an area of flowers shows that they are knowledgeable. To me, it is evidence that disproved the previously mentioned idea that they were extincted

id say whatever test is done and over with wait a month and come back and rant lol

If we’re debating between the main idea of this passage, it wasn’t to disprove the extinction of the blue flower. I can’t remember what it was but I think it was to talk about the botanist lady.

but how does finding flowers so knowledge?

If you look back in the forum, most agreed that is was the knowledgable choice.

i dont get that either.

Well at the end of that paragraph, the botanist said that the natives had knowledge that couldn’t have been found in library books. I think that’s where everyone is getting their answer of them being knowledgeable.

@Lookingup. Sorry, but that doesn’t mean anything.

the entire answer is like the flower eas there before and it protected by the ohmaha people or something like that right?

^ for what?

It’s not extinct because there were 8 specimens left. Of course, you guys may be phrasing the answer wrong, but the species never went extinct

It does show the knowledge of the native elders because it shows that they have knowledge that goes beyond even the scientific consensus of researchers and scientists that were mentioned in the passage.

And yes, they said that knowledge of native elders couldnt’ be found in books either

That’s what I think^^^

i am not talking about the purpose about the entire passage. I am talking about the purpose of the one paragraph that stated that they found a LARGE amount of flowers. This would disprove the idea that said that they were the most endangered species in Arizona as stated in the passage. Again, I am not seeing how this shows a great amount of knowledge.

The main purpose of the essay was talking about the botanist and her accomplishments.

That paragraph was a specific example of her accomplishments and it showed that the natives had knowledge too. Those were like the last few sentences of the paragraph.

how does it show knowledge?!?! what did it say in that paragraph about knowledge. they found flowers!

@omaha

It shows knowledge becasue no one else knew where it was. Even scientists didn’t know where they were. This implies that even scientists, people who devote their lives to practical research for the purpose of research and knowledge itself do not even know where these flowers are located. Yet, people like natives who are devoted to more religious and ritualistic and cultural aspects know about things like this. At the point where a native elder can surpass botanists in the area of botany is pretty significant and noteworthy.

has anyone been able to find any of the passages?

does anyone remember the answer choices for the first use of infrasonic?

i know the answer was to find bubbles in volcanoes.

how about the one that asked when infra sound was first put place? it was like a volcano and some other ones
