June 8th ACT Reading

There was some question about carrots or something. It was the passage with the Aunt Vera and the mom preparing some food. I don’t remember the question, but it asked something along the lines of what did the daughter do after seeing her mother prepare food? This may be worded somewhat off, but does anyone remember this one?

lets start the story about japanese dude: i remember one of the answers that he was watching opera high up, another was the narrator was omniscient, the daughter bought cd because she like the composers face, dad stayed home because he was sick and enjoys the 3 days listening to opra, another was that the intro introduced the sensory details that were yet to come…some of the answers i could come up on top of my head.

The question was what was IMPLIED so I can see how better life can work because the mom called the outing her “one final break” from farm life I think, but there was never anything that explicitly stated that the mom didn’t enjoy her farm life, however, like the question said it might’ve been implied. Also the narrator talked about sisterhood existing in southern woman way before the feminists so they didn’t feel isolated at all, so by that rationale i didn’t pick that answer. I remember something else stuck out to me and I put another answer down. something about femininity…
I remember I spent like 5 minutes on this question and it almost screwed me over, thank god the intrasound passage was pretty straight forward

Yeah let’s just compile one list of all the answers please. That would help us answering all of the questions.

^upset…

i got 2 different answers… I said she got it because nothing else pleased him? (wording not sure). Also, I remmeber that I got sunday for an answer

@wudufuxup the daughter felt angry that her mother was reduced to a worker hunched over doing labor or something like that

what were some of the questions of the ultrasound one?

I think the one about the mother is that something about an appreciation for the a disconnect to the past occasionally??? I remember there was an answer choice about occasionally, she would sever her past and put on a new character as she went into town.

^what were the answer choices?

All i remember from the passage about frequency was that volcanoes was the first thing they measured? Also that the frequencies measured the size of lava bubbles and that loudspeakers were used the way they were. I only had less than 5 mins on that passage and questions

I remember putting something like occasionally she would break from the norm or something like that

yes she would break from the norm and dress up to goto town, not for attracting a man but personal pleasures

did u guys get sunday for the first passage??? and why did the girl buy the CD for her dad?? also, she wanted to please her dad correct?

The act implies the idea of adultery!!!:0 ahhhhh lawsuit lol jk

What’s the question with Sunday in it?

no because she liked the composers face

I put to please him

What were the answer choices for what the mother would agree with.

so what did the some imply to her daughter? I had something like it was ok to leave the usually but still come back to reality. Cant remember the wording
