June ACT English Section

Discuss the June ACT english section when permitted to!

EDIT: permitted:
IDK last time we did right away but I put that incase I got into trouble cuz idk lol

Did you guys put who on both of the who/whom questions??

Yeah, I put who for both of them.

@track2394

Yeah I did.

Sweet. So did I! Maybe I got a 36… Fingers crossed. Any other questionable English questions?

I did. *10char.

Here’s hoping for a good English score. My last two tries were 34 and 35.

English and Reading weren’t bad, but the Math and Science HOLY **** :(

was the radio question to the start of one of the passages “it’s” or “its”? Also, what did you put for the “should this be added here?” for the athletes question?

For the radio one I think I put “its” because if I remember correctly it was one radio and it was possessive.

For the color blind contrast b/t females and males. Did you guys just pick to leave it as “are”?
I was torn b/t keeping the 2 parallel and “are” not sounding right. I ended up picking are.

Did anyone else get like a lot of A’s

@JalliDalli

Do you remember any more of the sentence?

I feel confident about English. Definitely my best section. Hoping for a 35-36 to make up for my terrible Science score.

@nina- It was something like: 10% of men are color blind while onli 1.4% of females ARE.

and the choices were something like:
-no change
-can differentiate b/t green and red
-have the blah blah blah known as colorblindness

I kept the are.

@almost there yea i did it was really irritating…

@stanfordcs I kept the are aswell

I put ARE (f no change?) cuz otherwise it was restating stuff?

ok, good. Also does anyone remember the answer to this question on the mural passage? The choices were:
people’s
peoples’
persons’
peoples

I am relatively certain I kept the are as well.
