Why is the science curve so harsh?

It always is.

But why? 10char

Because it is mostly just reading graphs, not too much thinking.

English: 33
Math: 30-31 if I’m lucky
Reading 33-34
Science: I don’t even want to know…

Essay: hopefully 10+

So what would you think a -6 would be for science?

You know what? im just going to assume that undermining is wrong. This way, if it’s right, i’ll get a nice, pleasant surprise.

R: 31

Crap. Im going to have to retake if im applying to Yale. Not nearly as good enough for a unhooked applicant. Well this was my first time, with moderate prep–about 5-6 practice tests 2 weeks before the test.

October 2009 ACT Curve:
ENG, (0)
MAT, (+1)
CRD, (0)
SCI, (+1)

Does +1 mean that -1 is still a 36? I’m new to this lol.

-6 on science is probably a 28 or 29.

Im really hoping for Sci to be +1, I think I only got -3 max, so far -1 confirmed but taking into account stupid mistakes its probabaly -3.

E: 30-33
M: 35-36
S: 30-34
R:31-34
Hopefully I guessed well =|

I should have prepped though @__@

I’m extremely anxious for our scores! My next 4 years will essentially be decided on June 28th. :p

Still hopin’ for a curve of E0, M+1, R+1, S+1…

Can someone explain what +1 means? Does it mean that -1 = 36?

I think the curve should be-
English: +0
Math: +1
Reading: +2
Science: +1
I’d be really happy

@newaccount, yes

Thanks. Do we have any reasonable estimates as to what the curves will be? My predicted 35 was assuming that -1 is 35, -2 is 34, etc for each section. Perhaps my 36 chances are still alive!

The one I posted I think were the predictions by some people on here.

Alright, in that case, my updated predictions:

English: 35
Math: 35
Reading: 36
Science: 36

Let’s hope and pray!
