June Sat Curve???

O.o What trapezoid problem are we talking about? I don't remember even having that problem... although I vaguely remember using 180(n-2) for something.

oh, wait. Was that the last problem of the SPR?

^yupp...i put 12 :(

Oh that was 18... im 100% positive (though, i def. got that one wrong which sucks because I wanted an 800 on math)

....umm I honestly do not think the curve will be more generous this time around. The math was a joke, writing was simple and criticle reading was very easy with some tricks here and there

Anyone? Was the trapezoid problem the last problem of the SPR?

What is that was the only problem u got wrong? Would u still get an 800?

probably a 780

aquamarine: yes, last grid-in

i thought that the november SAT was way easier than the June. Math was easy...i missed the cube one because i am incapable of counting the edges of a cube ;) cr i missed a couple (anyone know what the vocab word was for the exaggerated gloom of the artist), and on writing my essay was generic and i missed a couple...hoping for bettter than a 2210 (thats what i got last time) ahhh

idk why everybody is so worried about -1 being an 800 on CR b/c cr usually has the most generous curve out of any section. The first 3 will probably be 800 or MAYBE the first 2 at least no dobut

The gloom SC answer was lugubrious. [Was that experimental?]
And yes, -2 = 800 for CR is pretty normal. However, -3 = 800 is REALLY unusual and probably won't be happening... unfortunately.
I'm also hoping for 2200+!

Oh, and November was EASIER? How can it get ANY easier than June? Wow...

Does anyone else notice that lugubrious was a SC answer on the first official new SAT booklet (and innocuous was an answer to a reading comp question)? I knew the word right away because of that. If they're already recycling words after 2 years then I'm just going to study all the vocab from official practice tests!

I took the March SAT. When comparing the two, I thought June was harder in all aspects, though not by a lot. Well except CR, I thought that was a lot harder than usual. But then again, I did a lot of prepping for March, and from March to June I did nothing.

For the trapezoid one, I just found the exterior angle of one connection of trapezoids to be 20.

360/20 = 18.

lehighnesh that is waaay to subjective. I thought the december math SAT was much easier than this one, but the curve was 1 wrong for an 800...it really depends on the person and since it is so subjective no one knows for sure until scores come out.

I'm thinking--

M: -1 = 780
CR: -2 = 800
W: Same old curve.

Probably won't deviate much.

I'm pretty sure the curve is pre-determined (that's why we have that extra 10th section, it determines NEXT time's curve)...

yah the curve is pre-determined, but the chance that -1 is an 800 for math is still there since the december 2006 proved it for me.

Oh well, I only took the SAT in hopes of getting the presidential scholar...so I don't get to meet bush...tough luck XD

I borrowed my friends' Q&S for the October and January tests.

October 2006
Math
54-800
53-800

I don't think the October math was difficult at all (nothing like the trapezoid), so this was a great curve. (I got -0 on it, anyway)

January 2007
Math
54-800
53-780
52-760
51-740
50-720

CR
67-800
66-800
65-800
64-800
63-780

But if you get 3 wrong in CR (no skipping), then that actually turns into a -4, whereas 2 wrong stays -2. Oh, and 'lugubrious' was in the January test as well as one of the online course tests.

I think it will be

Math
54-800
53-800
52-780
51-760
50-740

CR
67-800
66-800
65-800
64-780
63-760

I would be AMAZED if -1 = 800 for Math.

Why? It's happened before..
