June SAT I: Math Discussion Thread

This is the official discussion thread for the math section.

To help future takers, what is your estimated score, what books did you use and find helpful, and any tips for those taking in October?
For October takers, don't forget to grab Gruber's Math Workbook. And you should already have the Blue Book [note: I scored 2340 in May]

Oh and out of interest, what calculator did you use? Personally, I have the Ti-Nspire CAS and LOVE it.

And check out <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1154874-fast-sat-prep-guide-books-study-plans-more-2080-2340-10-days-v1.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1154874-fast-sat-prep-guide-books-study-plans-more-2080-2340-10-days-v1.html</a></p>

And yeh, I know these discussion threads are early (but only by an hour or so) - I'm bored and hoping to help future takers :P

I am guessing I will get a 760-800 on math. I used crush the SAT math prep which helped a little. But, it was REALLY hard. I also used Barron’s 2400 and that helped quite a bit. Plus, of course, I used the BB and other official practice tests. If u r taking the test in October, remember to PRACTICE. practice makes perfect.
I use a TI-84 calculator.

I remember 104. 26*4

i used the casio fx991. It’s good
i think il get -2 or -4 (including exp section)

math is easy for koreans haha

if i have 4 math sections, does that mean for sure that one of them is experimental?

Was the one with the teacher removing chairs 22 ?

@noragon 72-44=28

I may have looked at it as 12 rows and 6 colums :P

and 1 row - 2 columns after the row is gone

these answers wouldnt correspond with the us SAT would they?if they are I have to write em in my calculator.

@judaskiss26 i think its 22. its first 12 chairs from one row then 5 and 5, 2 columns.

not 12 and 6 and 6

Was the one with the Median where the answer was D ( I and II)?

Haha no these are only intentional. Collegeboard aren’t stupid.

can someone please answer my question I would greatly appreciate it.
