June SAT I: Math Discussion Thread

yeah 192 is correct

noragon jameshadisurjo
how many numbers of grid-in that u got as same as mine?

lol i’m suffering from memory loss here :stuck_out_tongue: I can remember question but not answers

Most yes. The one i’m sure was wrong was the one where x and y have infinite values.

x and y have infinite values ---- what was the correct ans?

oh yeah… i just multiplied the bottom to make it the same

the answer is 26 i think

i got 14 T_T

How did u get 26?

i dont remember… It was a grid in right? or did I get 28. hmmm i forgot :P

the question is to find the value of k so that there are many values of (x,y) right?
my method is
8x+4y=26 minus 2x+y=k
so 6x+3y=26-k
If u want (x,y) to have many values 26-k have to divisible by 6 and 3
So I assumed 26-k=12 , k=14

oh yaa.
What i thought was (8x+4y=26)/4 = 2x+y=6.5

same equation so infinite values ( I forgot to divide 26/4 while doing it my bad) :(

Aj1993 do u think my ans was correct?

can i ask that the question states which one:
8x+4y=k and 2x+y=26
or
8x+4y=26 and 2x+y=k
My memory is quite fuzzy right now.

i think 8x+4y=26 not sure

I dont know im really confused now and I just ate paracetamol for my fever…

I think it was 8x+4y=26 and 2x+y=k not sure

the author of post #3 had the answer to the former(which is the same as mine), while judaskiss26 and Aj1993 seem to assume that the correct question was the later. Now we need another person with good memory here to help us.

by giving out answers to today’s test, you are messing with your own curve

huh how?
the US test is different from international

Are all international students not done? can someone please write which questions were in the experimental sections… i cant seem to figure out which one it was =/
