My DD and I were Week 1 guinea pigs and had a grand old time in Granville. Don't forget the fan for you and your student, and a pillow, towel, mattress pad since "linens" they provide leave much to be desired. Or better yet, Mom and Dad, we loved our overnight the night before at The Fraley House B&B with kind attentions of Mel Fraley and the unflappable Duke (mellow golden lab), not to mention the enticing pool and hot tub. Should have taken her up on the info that there was a room empty Monday night, but I braved the hospitality of Curtis East and survived.

But back to DU -- program was mostly well organized and very informative. Faculty and student staff were great and made it very real to leave with a schedule in hand. The WIFI was not good (maybe due to summer upgrading) so don't count on e-mail or web access. Helpful to have a laptop for the registration planning, but only if you can get it to connect, which we never could.

Enjoy!

The wireless always seems to be unreliable; better luck connecting with a cable. [And, luckily, D’s room this summer has AC.]

We were at the Fraley House over Memorial Day weekend, visiting D who’s researching on campus this summer. We always love staying there!

Best breakfast and beds in Granville!
