Schools I am thinking about:
Michigan(LSA), Northwestern, Wisconsin, UNC, NYU(Stern), Iowa, UofChicago

I would say,
Michigan-slight reach/ match
Northwestern-high reach
Wisconsin-slight reach/ match
NYU - slight reach/ match
Iowa - reach
U Chicago-extremely high reach

Try to get good grades your senior year and if you get waitlisted, colleges will see your high level of motivation.

hmm I agree with Islav in everything except Iowa.
Iowa is definately a safety.

Yeah, im 100% sure that Iowa is a safety (slash ive got double legacy there, I might get aid or something nice)

Michigan is my dream school (every summer I visit a friend for about 2 weeks that goes to college there, i love the place)

U sure NYU Stern is a match/low reach?? I thought it would be more of a high reach/ Northwestern would be more of a low reach (legacy + summer program)

What are some more tips/ points to captialize on other than raising my ACT and GPA? I know I will have to write some killer essays and get some nice recs. Any advice is great.

Ur gpa is way below the averages for Northwestern which might be a problem. but u might have a chance.

Yea I agree, I think the main stumbling block for you here is GPA. Though if you can bring up ACT up more, that'd help since right now its at the bottom of the mid 50% for northwestern.

If I apply to Northwestern should I do ED then, or wait untill more grades come in and raise my GPA (first tri ends nov. 13th.)

What percent chance do I have for Michigan????? (the place where I really want to go)
