Junior In highschool. Need of help!

hello,
I am Currently a junior in highschool.
I have just joined this forum to hopefully get some help/advice.

I am a junior.
I love to dance and sing and anything related to hiphop (Djing, funkstyle, Breaking)
I play the instrument bass and guitar.
My current cumulative gpa is ~2.6
and I am going to soon take my PSAT.
And later on take my SAT.

I know my gpa is pretty low. I am planning to raise it.

I want to go to a college that has a good school for Sound engineering and producing music.
I was planning to go to CSUN or CSULB.
Is it hard to get into these schools?
do they have a sound producing/engineering school?
I have searched around thier site but i can only find things of instrument related music.
and not producing music. I also want to learn to be also a turntablist.

Also, Is California college of music a good college?
I found nothing about this college. I searched around but there is topics or anything about this college. So I am curious.

Thank you!

The average GPA at CSUN is 3.1, the average at CSULB is higher. A higher SAT can make up for some lower GPAs. You need to work on getting that GPA up NOW, not “planning to raise it.” You need to check out the schools web sites to see if they have your intended major.

You might find answers to some of your questions in the specific majors subforums. Click on “Discussion Home” in the upper left of this screen and then scroll down until you find it.

BTW…It was reported that all the Cal States are becoming harder to get into because the number of acceptances for incoming freshmen has been cut to save money.

Therefore, work on your GPA. :)
