If I applied to UT Austin after my junior year (this year) would automatic admissions be top 8% or top 7%? On the website it says that the top 8% for Summer/Fall applicants of 2016 get automatic admission, but I got a paper saying how it’s top 7%. Could someone please clear this up?

You will be 7% the summer/fall it is talking about is the terms that you are applying for. So 8% was current seniors applying for fall 2016
The Auto Admit % can change every year. The last few years it was 7%. This year it’s 8%. They have already stated that for next years applicants it will be 7%. I believe it depends on the number of registered seniors in the Texas school system each year that makes this fluctuate. Good luck regardless.

Finish in the top 7%. Many instate 9-12%-ers were waitlisted, PACE/CAPed today and they had amazing stats. There is not much room available for admit for non top 7%-ers.
