Hey. I think I'm going to apply to Vanderbilt ED but I'm not really sure if its a good idea. I love the school, so please honestly let me know what you think.

SATs: Math 700 CR 650 Writing 700 total 2050
Will take SAT IIs

My hopeful choices are
Reach: Vanderbilt, JH, Willam and Mary, UMICH
About right: BU, UMiami
Saftey: Bently, Arizona State, UConn

please let me know what you think about any of these schools. especially Vanderbilt. thanks!

It's impossible to even guess at your chances without your class rank.

I'm in the top 15% about. My high school is very competitive. Thanks!

I'd say you have a relatively decent shot at every one of your reaches, although John Hopkins will be the toughest, which you probably already know, I think it's your only significant reach. Good Luck,

are you in or out of state for W&M?

I just got admitted to Vanderbilt ed this year, I would say, especially with your stats( a bit lower than mine), that you should do the ed, and not wait for rd, because it will boost your chances a bit on getting in, also you are someone who is very coin flip, you have decent scores, gpa is a bit low, so you never know, I would say do ed if you like the school, I loved it when I visited, which made it my number 1. even over stanford, yale, and dartmouth.

I'm out of state for W&M, I live in NJ

some schools just don't have class ranks though :)

yeah, I'm actually not really sure when we get out ranks or if we even get them at all. I'm pretty sure we get them at the end of junior year, but I should check on that. any other opions would be greatly appreciated !

please any more?

You will never amount to anything and will end up going to Community College where you will study for a degree as a technician's assistant and will make an annual salary of 20,000 bucks doing busy papaer work that you could have done even without a community college degree. Then you will become unemplyed and survive on welfare at which time you will invest in a heavy stack of lottery tickets. You will win with the numbers 69 69 69 66 32 and will go to the local 7/11 to pick up your reward money. However on your way to the gas station you open the window for fresh air at which point your beloved lattery ticket will float out the window beknownst to you. When you arrive at 7/11 you will search frantically for your missing lottery ticket to no avail. You will pull out your .22 caliber revolver which you had convieniently placed in your back left pocket and will rob the 7/11 for 69 dollars. The cops will be on your trail. But dont worry you not only invested heavily in lottery tickets, but also invested heavily in driving classes which you took under the false identity of John Smith. Using your adept maneuvering techniques you will escape the police and run off to Nebraska where you meet a man in a poncho whose name is Hank. Hank will befriend you, but eventually will steal your 69 dollars. Now alone without any money and a used condom on your motel bed (you slept with Hank and he robbed you the next morning and took off) you will rediscover your gun lying on your bed. You will pick it up and check to see if it is loaded. It will be. You will close your eyes and the world as you know it will disappear.

The you find yourself in Hell. Although a bit toasty Hell is fairly comfortable with red leather seats and hot chicks with nice tits. A man approaches your red leather couch and asks what you want (he appears to be a waiter of sorts). You stare at his tail and demonic horns for a minute before you ask for a beer. But they dont have beer in Hell...

wow, thanks.

Here we go again. another JUNIOR IN HS worrying about college admissions.
you still have something called SENIOR YEAR. You might get all As, or get all F's, who knows. Ask again senior year.

the thing is I'm thinking of applying early decision, in which case my senior year grades would not count nearly as much. First marking period would have an effect, but the rest would not. (as long as I maintain the required of course)

please please help!!

im really interested in w&m too and i have pretty similar stats to you. All i know is that they have to have something like 70% of their students from virginia, so in order to get in OOS, you have to like cure cancer or something. but definitely apply...you never know!!!
