Junior/Sophomore Transfer Confusion

I am a currently a sophomore, looking to transfer to UNCCH for my junior and senior year. Since I'd be entering UNCCH as a junior, does this mean I'm a junior transfer and don't have to submit SAT scores? Or am I still considered a sophomore transfer?

Thanks.

I hope this helps! From the UNC website:

Class standing is determined by the number of transferable hours presented at the end of the regular academic year before the fall semester in which you wish to enroll. This does not include summer sessions immediately prior to enrollment.

First-year transfer: Fewer than 15 transferable hours

Sophomore: 15–50.9 transferable hours

Junior: 51 or more transferable hours

That is very helpful. I have 69 credits, so I guess that means I have junior standing. Thank you very much!

No problem! :)

You may not have 69 credits because UNC uses their own scale and determines how many credits (what classes) they’ll reward you. After you’re admitted, you can argue for credit; you have to do this for Kenan-Flagler Business School courses.

I transferred in as a junior and didn’t have to take the SAT.
