Junior year academic versus honors dilemma

<p>Hi-</p>

<p>I could use some advice for my son who is about to enter his junior year in high school. Up to this point he has been in all honors classes. His grades were fine freshman year. Last year, he teetered on the edge in three of his honors classes ending the year with 2 c+ and a C in English. He had solid B averages but poor final and mid-term grades in these classes. We are considering having him change to academic English for this year. </p>

<p>How does he feel about that? Do you know why he did poorly on his mid-terms and finals? If it was something that is correctible I would probably keep him in the honors.</p>
