Junior year classes?? Help!

Alright, alright, so I have been absolutely freaking out about my schedule for the 2015-16 school year (junior). I was all set on this schedule:

AP Psych
US History
*AP Calc BC
*AP Physics
*Band (wind ensemble)
*AP Lang

(sorry, I know this looks long, but bear with me please :)))) )

Then, I found out that I can’t take all 4 of the starred classes (it has to do with when the classes are offered). I have to drop one, and I have only a week to decide which one. Great right?!
SO a little about me- I’m a math person all the way. I mean I’m also a good writer, but I genuinely enjoy math 10x better. I plan to go into finance/business/economics or maybe even major in straight up math. I would ideally like to go to Berkeley (I know, it’s a reach) and end up on Wall Street.

So, I have been conflicted on what to do! AP Calc BC is the one class that I have been sure about since the 6th grade, since I love math so much. So that’s not changing. AP Lang is basically a given for anyone who wants to get into Berkeley at my school. And I feel that band is just a good thing to continue. I’ve been doing it since the 4th grade, so why not finish it off, right? I also enjoy playing my clarinet greatly. So, the only one left is AP Physics.

Here’s the thing though- I definitely want to take an AP science, and definitely not AP bio. not my thing. AP chem is a strong option, but I got to thinking- I am going into business… Chemistry has absolutely nothing to do with what I plan to excel in, and I heard it takes up a lot of time, and is exceedingly difficult.

So the only thing left for me to do is to just take regular Physics (they don’t offer honors). I took regular chem this year (again don’t offer honors).

Basically it comes down to this: AP Chem, and just tough it out, even though it won’t be of any use to my future
orrrrrr
regular physics

thanks for your time!!

ps. as a reminder- I will be taking calc bc and AP lang— both very hard classes. so I am not sure how I will do if I also add AP chem into that mix.

Neither physics nor chem have much to do with business, so I’d just go with chem because it’s the AP class. (Warning, though: you’ll be miserable during AP season. The class wasn’t too bad for me, but the AP is rough.)
AP Physics was the best class I ever took, but it seems like you eliminated that already…

I don’t think that Berkeley will automatically reject you if you’re not in AP Lang, but it’s definitely better to be in an AP English class over a normal one.

Go with your gut. In this case, I would drop AP Physics. I personally would do Physics. You would cover bio, chem, and physics- a year of each.

Physics (if your teacher can’t teach the concepts well) then you won’t understand things well. The math is easy (physics is applied math) but you have to understand the concepts as well or you won’t know how to do it (personal experience). Drop the AP, you can take it senior year (most people do that anyway).
