I am currently enrolled in high level physics, but I feel like I can't handle the class and might get a C for the semester. Should I drop a level and get an A there or stick with the class with the risk of getting a C?

If I drop, will it count as a withdrawal if it's changing course levels? And how bad would a withdrawal look on my transcript?

If you’re absolutely sure you’re going to get a C, then I’d suggest dropping the class. You should only challenge yourself to the extent where you can still handle it.

Alternatively, you could add an AP science course in place of physics. Perhaps you might be more interested in, and even better at, biology or chemistry. The ideal schedule includes all three sciences, but it would also look very good if you could take either AP Biology or AP Chemistry instead and do well.
