Hey all, going into my junior year. My schedule right now looks like this: AP Stats, AP Human Geo, AP World History, AP Language, Hon Pre-Calc, Hon French 5, Hon Physics. I am worried about the workload for AP Stats(a lot of work at my school) and AP World History. I’ve heard AP World History is really hard too and is a ton of reading. Is it necessary for me to take 4 APs rather than 3 if I choose to do Hon World History? I feel like I won’t be competitive enough for UPenn or Cornell which is where I’d like to go. Is AP World History really hard? Does this schedule seem okay or too much? I only have the week to choose what I’d like to take so… Thanks.
Take 3 because 4 may be too much to handle especially if its your first time taking ap classes.
Remember pick ap classes that you either like/interest in and not for the reason of impressing the college admissions people.
Make sure you have time to balance yourself between AP Classes and after school duties in addition to any other things you need to do.
Make your High School Life Enjoyable, while still challenging yourself & getting the scholarships(s) for all your hard work.
AP stats and AP human geography are electives. It means that you could drop them and replace them with honors versions and keep the more rigorous AP world. However if it’s your first year taking APs you could take both AP stats and AP human geography (along with AP world) because they’ll ease you into APs, and take APUSH or AP euro senior year once you’re used to the approach and exercises.
