So, I’m choosing my junior year schedule and would love some guidance. I have somewhat conflicting career interests, as the 2 most appealing careers and majors to me right now are biomedical engineering and international relations.
I’ve already taken 2 AP’s: Biology and EnviroSci.
So this is my planned 11th grade schedule:
AP Language and Composition
AP Chemistry
AP US History
AP Psychology
Precalculus
Physics
Spanish III
PE
I will also self-study an AP Physics and AP Computer Science A, and possibly an AP Gov.
Does anyone have any feedback about the rigor of my schedule or any recommendations about courses I should possibly not take?
The AP Gov is unnecessary. At my school, that’s a senior class, and I doubt you will have so much time to self-study unless you have absolutely no extracurriculars. AP Chemistry is a good choice though, and if PreCalculus is not honors this schedule should not be too bad. It all depends on how good at these subjects you are. Hopefully you are really skilled at computer science and are planning to major in computer engineering already otherwise self-studying for AP CompSci is useless and difficult. Honestly I would say just try to get good grades with your schedule and not try to self-study for any of those APs you listed, otherwise the beginning of May will really hurt. Hope this helps!
