Junior schedule

Pre-College Issues High School Life

<p>We're deciding on our classes for next year in my school and I wanted to know which of these schedules would be better.</p>

<p>Precalc
AP English Language
AP Government
AP Chemistry
Advanced Physics
Spanish III
Principles of Engineering (college class with lots of physics and math)
Academic Decathlon
Economics/Gym</p>

<p>or</p>

<p>Precalc
AP English Language
AP Government
AP Chemistry
AP World History
AP Environmental Science
AP Microeconomics
Gym first semester/ Hippy History second semester</p>

<p>EDIT: I also have the option to skip Precalc if I take the final and pass it, which I could, but the class is just Calculus I and then for senior year math I would have to go to a community college, which I'm not sure I can do.</p>

<p>Also, if you could suggest a combination of those classes that would be better, preferably with only one of either AP World History, AP Microeconomics and AP Environmental Science (scheduling is weird and it will be really hard for me to take those with a combination other than the above)</p>

<p>I like the top schedule, unless you’re willing to work REALLY hard for all those AP courses. I don’t really like overloading on AP’s IMO. I choose the ones that I will be willing to go further in college or the classes I did in. For example I have 95% in Honors Biology. I really like that class so I’ll take AP Biology. I like the world around me and want to learn more, so I’ll take AP Environmental Science. I suck at history, I’m in Honors World History now and I have a 86% I got a 65% on my World War I test. So for my Junior Year, I’ll take Honors American Studies II (American Studies I is taken in the eighth grade) I would rather do more work, than go at a fast paced route of a AP World, US, or European History class. Same thing goes with math. I hope you come up with a decision :)</p>

<p>I’m sorry, but that doesn’t make any sense, why would you be deciding classes for next year this early?</p>

<p>My school does scheduling after final exams of first semester, which would be monday, but I’m not going to be there, so I have to turn it in today. Any more opinions?</p>

<p>It depends on what you want to do in college. </p>

<p>I’d say the 1st, because from what I’ve read, you can easily self-study APES and APME. Some colleges don’t accept credit for those classes either.</p>

<p>The second one seems just like you’re whoring out APs. Which classes do you think you’ll like better? That’s what it really comes down to.</p>
