Hello, I’m an international student and i have been studying in the U.S for about a year
What do you think about my junior year high school schedule as I am trying to major in Business in the future? Is it weak or something
AP English Language and Composition
AP U.S History
Chemistry Honors
International Finance and Law
Accounting
German 2
Algebra 2 Honors
Also, I was planning for my senior year and was thinking about these classes so far:
AP Microeconomics
AP English Literature
Marketing
Calculus
German 3
I appreciate your opinion!
That schedule seems strong from my perspective. Does your school offer Pre-Calculus or Trigonometry because going from Algebra 2 to Calculus seems like it might be a hard jump unless your school is set up like that?
It is fine to take precalculus in high school and take calculus in college for business. Your classes seem good for college acceptance and showing interest in business. If you have dual enrollment options classes like marketing, accounting, business law, are good ones to take in terms of showing interest and potentially getting college credit since none of them are offered as AP classes.
After your junior year do you have at least 3 lab science classes? Otherwise add science to senior year. If your applying to highly selective colleges you might want a science senior year even if you have 3 already. Just make sure you complete classes like gym that are needed for graduation
Seems very good, especially considering you have almost everything a business major would need, except APUSH :).
You have English classes which teach you how to analyze and create arguments, which you’ll need if you’re going to start your own business. You have classes related to your degree (Accounting, Intl’ Finance, Marketing) and Economics, as well as math courses, which you’ll need for bookkeeping. You also have a somewhat rare foreign language, which shows genuine interest, unlike cough cough Spanish. Your schedule is also rigorous while being suitable for your major, a rare combination. You’re well suited for college apps.
