Help with junior schedule?

I need help with my junior year schedule.
In college, I want to major in Accounting/Finance…

here is my schedule for next year..

AP English
AP USH
PC support 1 (IT) Honors
Pre-calculus
Chemistry Honors
And my last class is either accounting 1 or German 3

Which one should I choose Accounting 1 or German 3? Any advice

If I take accounting 1, then I will take accounting 2 in my senior year
If I take German 3, then I will take AP German in my senior year..

Any advice???

Thank you

Well, if you want to go into a finance field, then I would suggest accounting.

Are you interested in foreign languages? Unless German is something you're really interested in, I would suggest taking courses that are more towards your liking.

Taking accounting in high school doesn't mean much. Colleges with strong accounting programs would probably rather see you have four year's experience with a language. Go for German.

I meant, it would be a good way to feel whether or not that is truly what you want to do. Part of high school is taking courses that you think might interest you in college so you can get your feet wet.

Take German.

German, for sure. I think colleges will value four years of a foreign language much more than hs accounting. But then again, if you happen to have some sort of passion for accounting, don't let my humble opinion stop you :).

if you want to do international finance then german, but if not the other one

Can you take German next year and Accounting senior year, or the other way around?

I'd choose German because colleges seem to prefer at least three years of foreign languages, unless you absolutely love Accounting and loathe German (you can find out about the field via other means e.g. job shadowing & extracurricular reading), in which case choose the one you prefer. Also HS Accounting is likely to be more...job-oriented (as in designed for those seeking jobs immediately after HS) and might not be the type of accounting that you would do in college anyway.

Take German, it's good to have a lingustic background for a lot of colleges unless you plan on going into a financial field, plus its just fun. I'm on the block system in my school so I completed German 4 my junior year and will be taking German 5 next year, it's been a blast so far.

I'd say German over Accounting... However, I really think you should give up your lunch period to take both. Or a study hall. Whatever you have free.
