Juniors: post your PSAT to SAT scores

PSAT 228/SAT 2300 (didn't miss a math question either time)

Practice tests are my friend...

221 PSAT (73 Critical Reading, 68 Math, 80 Writing)
2190 SAT (750 Critical Reading, 720 Math, 720 Writing - oops)

I hate College Board tests. The ACT is a much better, and fairer, test.

10th grade (school makes us take it) 221
11th grade 236/2400

EDIT - In case anyone cares, to prepare I read through half the Kaplan SAT book and did half their tests.

187/2110

650 math ***
670 writing
790 reading

10th: 215 (71 CR, 80 W, 64 M)
11th: 227 (75 CR, 72 M, 80 W)
SAT: 2390 (790 M)

167 (49 CR, 66 M, 52 W)
2020 (620 CR, 760 M, 640 W)

Who would have thought I could get a 2020? And now for October, I'm even planning to get 2200+. The SAT is a game waiting to get mastered by me.

?? thats IT?? u mustve had a pretty strong vocabulary or something? (For the CR) if not then whats your secret?

Psat 232
Sat 2380

No prep

Psat: 232
Sat: 2170 (760m, 760r, 650w)

I read very, very quickly, which really helps in CR because to my understanding slow readers have trouble even finishing. I usually have time to check over because I can get the section done in 20 minutes. Any questions, just mail me.

this is my first (real) post!

PSAT 228 (M 77, V 71, W 80)
SAT 2260 (M 770, V 730, W 760)

now --> go to the college admissions forum --> what are my chances? link --> answer asianinvasion112's post if she can get into upenn! (and jhu and ptown)

pleaseeee! why? cuz those are my stats someone else posted for me :)

PSAT: 216 (71 CR, 80 M, 65W)
SAT: 2110 (690 CR, 790M, 630 W)

both were no prep though lol

214 psat/2250 sat

219/2130 retaking blah

210/2200

PSAT(71 CR, 66 M, 73 W)
SAT(690 CR, 760 M, 750 W)

I did a few practice questions to get in the PSAT mindset the day before, but no real studying

Between the PSAT and the 1/24 date of the SAT, I did some studying and one BB practice

*For reading, I'm pretty sure I bombed one passage. I despise leaving things blank, but may have been able to get 700 or 710 if I had accepted not knowing the answer and omitted one or two on the questions for that passage

**For math...I just studied. I didn't remember geometry at all, and revisiting it was essential. Got lucky on a couple tough ? on the actual SAT that I figured out in the last couple minutes of the section.

***For writing...rough curve on the PSAT. No studying. Since I had a combo of having a good enough ear and some grammar rules knowledge before the PSAT, I focused on studying math after my 66, which paid off

-- I also brought snacks to the SAT, which probably helped me focus

PSAT - 227

80 CR, 74 M, 73 W

SAT - 2330

80 CR, 76 M, 77 W

I took like 7 BB tests and that's all the prep I did.

220/2290

10 char

My sons scores:

Soph PSAT = 197
Jun PSAT = 204
Jun SAT(Jan. 2009) = 2220 CR/770,M/710,W/740

I don't remember the breakdown of the PSAT tests. They were both taken w/o preparation. He spent a good bit of time over winter break preparing for the Jan SAT.

Although he was disappointed with his math score, he has decided not to take it again. He doesn't feel that he could improve cr or w w/o a huge effort, and doesn't feel it is worth the test ordeal to try for a bit more on math.

Soph PSAT: 163 (56 CR/55 M/52 W)
Junior PSAT: 182 (60 CR/66 M/56 W)
SAT: 2080 (680 CR/740 M/660 W)

tempted to retake SAT in May/June but not sure if I want to just focus on raising my ACT higher since I find it easier..

Soph PSAT: 161 (57 CR, 51 M, 53 W)
Jun PSAT: 210 (72 CR, 65 M, 73 W)

First SAT: 2220 (800 CR, 710 M, 710 W)
Second SAT: 2250 (760 CR, 690 M, 800 W)

no prep, really. i failed my sophomore psat because i fell asleep after completing the first 10 or so questions of each section.
