Juniors: post your PSAT to SAT scores

For those juniors whose SATs went up from PSATs in fall jr. year, any winning strategies for advancement? My D did some prep over the summer, so she’s got decent PSATs, but wants to study smart to get to the next level for spring SATs.

Sophomore PSAT: 223
Ocotber SAT: 2360
Junior PSAT: 219

Just got my score and was hoping I could post in here haha
sophomore psat: 209
didn’t take psat this year but
Junior sat: 2370 (messed up essay)

Junior PSAT (did not try at all lol): 215
SAT (first try): 2340

Sophomore PSAT: 182
Junior PSAT: 214
Junior SAT (first try): 2010

Freshman PSAT: 225
Sophomore PSAT: 216
Junior PSAT: 217
December SAT (first try): 2350

Like others have said, there is a much larger margin for error on the SAT, so scores to tend to be higher there.

Smore PSAT: 183
Junior PSAT: 223
Nov SAT: 2200
Dec SAT: 2400 :)

PSAT - Wednesday, 2011 (First and only go at it):
CR: 74
Math: 74
Writing: 80
Total: 228

SAT - December, 2011 (First try):
CR: 780
Math: 750
Writing: 730 (E 10)
Total: 2260

While I recognize those are fairly decent scores, the fact that I regressed so clearly in writing (71/80 on the MC; %^&$%^) and failed to break 2300 drives me insane. Retake, here I come. Now, nobody go making fun of these scores.

Lol mine is the most shocking :P

PSAT 10th grade = 177
SAT Dec = 2320

Sophomore PSAT: 214 (73 CR, 67 Math, 74 W)
Junior PSAT: 232 (80 CR, 72 M, 80 W)
Junior Dec. SAT: 215 (700 CR, 680 M, 770 W, 10 E)

Kind of bummed my SATs went down, but if I could only have the 232 on one I’m glad it was junior PSATs so I could get NMS in MA! Also still pretty surprised by my distribution of scores…I’ve always thought of myself as the math kid, but I guess going to the humanitities-heavy school helped my CR + W scores rise above Math. Hoping to retake and bring up SATs to around 2250 (74 CR, 73 Math, 78 W).

Psat: 197
sat: 2210

199 PSAT
2190 Dec SAT

194/2160
800 Math
680 CR
680 Writing 67 MC 9 Essay
For top 20/Ivy School is it worth taking again to improve critical reading?

I’m a senior now, but my junior year scores:
PSAT: 176, SAT: 2000 (CR 670, W: 610, M: 720), Senior year SAT: 2170 (CR 700, W: 730, M: 740)

PSAT 199 (HAHA no idea what happened)

SAT June (junior): 800 cr 600 math 740 writing (2140)

SAT Dec (senior): 800 cr 630 math 800 writing (2230)

I legitimately don’t know why my scores changed at all, since I never managed to find time to study. I guess if I had to pin down a reason it would be that taking it multiple times helped with nerves, which allowed me to concentrate more.

…169/2350.
63 Math/780 Math
55 Reading/790 Reading
51 Writing/780 Writing

Mine is pretty shocking as well

^Did you take them both in Oct of this year?

205/2250 tenchar

165 Sophomore Year (52 reading, 67 math, 46 writing)
187 Junior Year (54 reading, 72 math, 61 writing)
2230 Senior Year SAT (670 cr, 800m, 760 w)

237/2380

effectively the same, missed a couple CR questions on each
