Anyone else getting annoyed by all the junk from admissions offices? Almost makes you wish colleges still had tons of applications to go through and no time to bother the rest of us.

I don't like the fact that the colleges i DID apply to have only sent me 2-3 pieces of mail...versus ones Ive never heard of have sent me 500 pieces of mail.

a college called drexel sends me an email literally every.single.day

i get tons. today i got 2 things from BU and 1 from carleton

its so annoying bc i already know where i'm going to school in the fall.. gr...

lol same here. i received everything from uh Quinnipiac U (i think?) and drexel U all the way to Brown and NYU (which i don't mind honestly). it's like, i'm on the internet for 3 hours and i get a dozen every hour.

well, i'm a soph so i don't really kno y they'r sending me all this

I wouldn't mind.. if they gave me a free ride to their schools for all the crap they send:D

Things like this make me very happy my parents handle the mail.

Drexel... wow that sounds familiar. Anyone else get stalked by Drury like I do? The schools that I'm really interested in send something, oh maybe once every 2 months announcing their open houses. And then these places that I didn't even knew exsisted send me stuff every day. Yea, some days i get more mail than my folks do!

Yea will the colleges stop after admissions season is over???

Hey, look at it this way- it's better than not getting anything at all. But it is a bit much at times (for me the college that "stalked" me was Mills).

Let's see, Randolf-Macon, Southern something or other are the worst ones. Pretty much everyweek. My school e-mail account is over flowing. It's ridiculous. Some don't even have the option to cancel the e-mails.

I get things nearly every week from university of evansville and marietta college. and I get constant emails from northland college...

I remember getting a lot of mail from UChicago (which I loved), Ithaca, and a couple schools in Cali. There were a few that I'd never heard of who just wouldn't leave me alone. I have a giant box of college propoganda in my basement, just for fun...I should probably throw it, haha. But yes, you get a lot throughout sophomore-senior year especially if you do well on your PSAT/SAT.

I had gotten so much mail from NYU. It started in the beginning of my sophomore year and ended in the winter of my senior year.

I did not attend, obviously.

I got a lot from George Washington Unversity...I mean a lot!

i'm a junior, and i got my first unsolicited college mail this week-- something along the lines of "your PSAT scores show that you MIGHT be a merit scholar later on, so we figured we'd contact you before everyone else did! come to carleton!"...i didn't put my email down on the psat, so i think that's part of the reason i haven't gotten much.

Haha, deenierah, even if you tell them that you don't want them to send you stuff, you'll be surprised at how much manages to find you. :]

Omg I'm getting sooo annoied by this! Dominican University and Drexel can't stop bothering me! Damn I swear I get like a stupid email asking me to apply every single day. And I also told them I wasn't interested in applying, which obviously didn't work.

same here, i'm annoyed of NYU's huge viewbooks and all that stuff...i mean, come on..save some trees!

good..i'm not the only one. it started last week...the "we saw your psat scores"...etc..mail. which is dumb because my psat's were horrible. i got carleton too.

By looking at this board, everyone seems to get mail from Carleton and Drexel. They should just give up.

Haberdashery- I KNOW!! It really gets me angry that they send out those newspaper sized brochures. My dad works in the publishing industry and he always questions why NYU would do such a thing when it costs sooooo much money to print even one of those viewbooks, let alone a million.
